Are You An Indigo?

Recently I have found out that I am an indigo child. I always knew I had psychic powers but I have a hard time accessing them. I met a psychic and she said that I am an indigo child. I didn't actually go to a psychic, this lady had picked me out at work. This didn't confuse me because I had looked up indigo children a couple months ago and thought I fit in perfectly. If you are on the edge and don't know if you are this was the gamechanger for me, "One of the lessons Indigo's are here to learn, is they can't change other people. They can only change themselves. By following their hearts... They will change the world." Gives me the goosebumps every time. This applies greatly and explains a lot of the suffering in my life. I needed to learn that I can't change people.

So I guess the point of this is to attract other indigos attention. I feel the need to extend myself to other indigos. A feeling of great importance. This may sound crazy to non indigos.

The only ability I am able to notice is strong feelings of spirits and advanced astral projection. I used to force my astral projections but now I allow them to come and go as they please. Theses dreams never made sense to me. Now they are all perfectly clear. All my dreams were there to make me realize I can't change people.

So I guess the dilemma I'm having is that my goal in life was to realize I can't change others, but why is it that I have the huge urge to change the world? Makes no sense to me. Al I know is that by us indigos being spread out and sepreated can't be of much help. I'd like to see what goes on when a bunch of indigos are around each other.

Although my points seem scattered I wrote them as they came to me because I feel that's the best way.

I think I'm seeking guidance, I know with the right help my abilities will become very strong. I think telekinesis will be possible. The psychic I had met told me that I have a great importance on a large scale. I don't doubt this one bit. You can email me or comments on here. All help is appreciated.

If you would like some more background on me go and read my other posts.

I'm fairly certain I'm an Indigo child, but I'm still unsure. I do know that I'm able to control the weather though, among other things. But I'm too scared to tell anyone I know. My parents are very against any type of "magic" or "witchcraft" whatsoever. I don't know what they'd think. My friends are slightly more accepting, but only slightly. So I'd really appreciate having someone to talk to about it. I'm not sure how to strengthen my powers nor am I quite sure how strong they are. Anyway, I'd just like a mentor I guess. Any help at all is better than none.

I term indigo according to the chakra system. They come from the crown chakra and down, then to the third eye and continuing down. Making them feel different and out of tune because the second chakra which is our emotional center haven't been reached... It makes sense to me, as they say indigos are star children, those who come from heaven etc. That they start out above and have to go down through the chakras...

The problem with indigos becomes then to connect with others through the second chakra, and connecting with the earth, first chakra... I think part of the reason indigos want to change things so bad, is because they don't want to their bodies as they are, finding the lower chakra environment unsuitable. Giving them an equally large challenge as those who are born from the root chakra and needs to get up, indigos needs to go down in order to complete themselves. 😊

That's cool. I was researching this up the other day and I realized I am an indigo child to. The only ducky part is when I was seven years old my mother put me on medication and I 've since lost contact with my abilities. Except for now. Now I can predict the future and make psi balls and I'm getting my clairvoyance and am clairaudience back. Thanks to the work of God. And the fruit of knowledge and work. I got my spirit back.

i am a healer... And the requirements I need to heal people is the permission from god and for my patient to have the strong will to be healthy. And I can't heal them if they don't want to. I think that what your quote means. You can't change them, but you can help them if they want to change. Just by talking and be by their side it's include as helping actually 😊 the rest is about timing 😁 and yes we are all an important part of the change... At first I don't know what it means. But now I know...it's like a puzzle, when you lose that 1 piece, it becomes incomplete 😊

Directed to UnknownAbilities:

Most of the people I know that "claimed" they were Indigos all felt similar - they felt that they were not like others. Some of the did feel the pain of others, and many had paranormal experiences. On the flip side - I do agree, some of those that say they are an indigo really aren't. You're also partially right about our "seeding" of the football game - a group of us did talk about it before hand, and were almost ready to take our places; problem was that a group of the members that graduated earlier beat us to it (lesson to be learned: Put like minds together, and eventually everyone will come up with the same idea).

At least you were told right away that you are an indigo. The fact that she knew all this right off the bat is at the least a sure sign she's a psychic.

I know it's something I'm meant to do or something that fits in all too well when I get the chills. Yeah, this room got a couple degrees colder to me. I'm not even sure if I'm an indigo, but as for changing the world... I feel I'm meant to do it.

Thats funny. As I read the comment the lady told you about not being able to change the world, I got chills as well. I have often thought that I am an 'indigo child' as well, but am a bit shifty of the term. Everyone has the ability to open themselves to spiritual realms, realizations of your spiritual nature are just another stepping stone on the path. It has happened for thousands of years (more so in indigenous cultures), and it will continue to happen.

What it means to me is that the world is sort of at a tipping point, where if we didn't have these sort of 'indigo children'/spiritualists/psychic/religous/whatever-you-want-to-name-it individuals, society would probably go down the wrong path. Of course, these indigo children are a product of our society, through being unsatisfied with it. It's a two sided coin, a balancing act of personalities.

In a way, I feel that we are reminding people that there is more to life than just materialistic phenomena. Much more. Anyway, I do not mean to dishearten your beliefs in any way, I just felt the need to remind you that being an 'indigo child' does not make you more special than other human beings because of your beliefs. We're all on the same level here, we just have different realizations about it. Continue, continue! I wish you well.

Strong valid point. Do all these people who claim they are indigos have paranormal experiences? Or feel suffering of others? I bet they dont. The things I have personally experienced are unfortunately all to real. I understand the divide and conquer theory you are pointing out. But before you plant "seeds" in the crowd didn't all of you get together and discuss what you were going to do before hand? I'm pretty sure you did. Validating my point of grouping up to accomplish a goal. "2 brains are better than one" "Stronger in numbers" ect.
I like your theory on the heal and guide. Although the point of an indigo isn't solely to heal. I have come back for wisdom. I had the choice to come back and I did, for a reason.
I understand a lot of people may be misinformed about being indigo, however I am not. The fact that this psychic was describing me word for word made me more comfortable. The first word she said to me is you are an indigo child. I knew, but how did she? She said she saw my aura. She knew what day of the week I was born also. Due to the fact the angel gabriel keeps popping up in my head. I am not religious, but yet I believe in a God. These teachings we are being taught are wrong and I have never been so sure in my life.

You know, a lot of us feel like we are supposed to be a part of something massive. I visit several other forums, and the number of people with the same symptoms are growing; they all feel like something world-wide is going to happen.

As for the indigos being spread out - I was taught a slightly different reason: If you want to spread something to more people in less time, a few people spread out could accomplish more than a cluster. For example, back in the "band" days, we used to "seed" the stands at football games with several of our members - when it came time to do something like "the wave", these members would rise up, and surprising enough, many of the people around them did as well - not knowing that it was one of our people that did it.

The theory that I subscribe to is that you are meant to heal and guide people - What you were told is correct: You can't change someone. But you can inspire them to change. There is a difference between telling someone "Hey, you should do this", and "Hey, I know you won't do this, but feel free to watch".

In a way, sites such as this one allows us to come together & share our ideas & experiences (it also prevents any one person from saying "my ideas are better than yours", as everyone comes from different religions & faiths).
