Since childhood, I have been consciously experiencing premonitory or psychic dreams about specific persons and events that ended up manifesting in my physical life.
As follows are two accounts of the most prominent psychic dreams I have experienced so far:
* The first dream took place in my hometown Beirut during the summer of 1985, five years before the end of the civil war in Lebanon.
"I saw myself in my house here in Beirut looking from my bedroom window at the Parking lot facing our house. The ambience was dark, foggy and terrifying. Suddenly, I saw two medium-sized tombstones emerging from the mist."
At this point, I woke up perplexed trying to figure out of the meaning of this dream.
During the morning, I had classes at the American University of Beirut after which I returned home in the afternoon. After lunch, I started hearing people in our neighborhood shouting in a loud voice, torn by pain and weeping. To my astonishment, I found out that our neighbor, a one-eyed elderly woman living on the first floor below (our house is on the second floor) and her cousin, living in the building facing our building, horribly died in a devastating car-bomb explosion in the Mar Elias neighborhood of Beirut.
I immediately realized that the two tombstones I saw in the dream were my two dead neighbors.
* The second prominent dream took place while I was in Madrid, Spain shortly after my grandmother passed away in Beirut, Lebanon on January 30, 1997.
"I saw myself in my house of Beirut, standing at the balcony. Looking at my right side, I saw my grandmother appearing to me. She talked to me briefly but I did not get exactly what she was telling me after which she disappeared. I heard the doorbell ring and when I came to open it, I saw my aunt Nazek, her daughter Aida and granddaughter Aya coming to visit us."
At this point, I also woke up perplexed of the dream's significance.
On May 5, 1997, we travelled back to Beirut from Madrid. My aunt Amal received us and took us to my late grandmother's house. The next morning, my parents rose early and went to my aunt's house nearby grandma's house. I was alone in my grandmother's house. At exactly 8:00 a.m., the doorbell rang and when I came to open, I was truly shocked and surprised. I saw my aunt Nazek, her daughter Aida and granddaughter Aya coming to visit us for coming back to Beirut in my late grandmother's house, exactly as I saw them in the dream.
