This is a gift but not a psychic one. Some people are naturally gifted to see the truth, i.e. The real desires, aversions and intentions of persons, behind those masks of social conditioning and "politeness" which almost all people are obliged to wear today.

Of course if you see so many hidden things it causes you to be afraid - but of yourself, not of the others, for you of course don't wish to hate or despise the others. The fact that you fear to be a paranoiac thus means you are good-willed... A bad person would not doubt him/herself but silently appreciate this gift and use it for egotistical means, for blackmail, spying and similar bad things.

But you too can appreciate it, and you even should do so, because this gift will be very useful in certain professions: security, police, teacher, psychologist, physician, paramedic, nurse, lawyer, priest, social worker and - last not least - father / mother. Every profession that deals with people's hidden weaknesses and issues will profit from it. If you are still young, thus, go ahead and adapt your educational path to this ability so you can get a job in a profession where you can use it often.

And if you are female do use your human insight - for this is the gift's real name - to eliminate the men prone to violence, the irresponsible Don Juan types, and the parasites from the bunch of guys who want to have a night out with you, or pretend they want to be your partner... This could save your personal freedom or even ensure your survival.

You are not a lost soul, you are a person confused about what her "hyper-sensitivity" is good for. And you haven't "lost control" as your nick says, you only have lost the snugly base of that narrow-minded consensus consciousness which is called "normal"...

If you only "suffer" from this function of your mind, passively perceiving it, without an aim, it could really make you lose your reason, because it gets more and more wearisome then and because it makes you "different from others" which is sometimes hard to bear,
Well, but it does NOT mean you ARE already "a mental".
What you are at the moment is someone called to become creative. Not "Control" is asked of you but Creativity.

What if you used this "imagination" - I mean your tendency to intuitively see images of the past of some building or place - as a research tool?

Simply write down or dictate upon some tape what your inner eye sees when you visit an old house, a historical place, an ancient tree, or whatever. Do this at once, before you forget it again.

The material yielded by this method could later be made into an interesting book if you are lucky, and if you are skilled enough in story-writing... Or if you prefer drawing and painting you could create pictures or cartoons of the scenes perceived.

One could also check out the content of truth in such images by asking questions to old people who have been living at the respective place for decades, and write down a comparison of what your images said and what the people said.

I think some of "X Files" T.V. Stories had a similar origin.

I have always had this problem but yes... Since my death near experience it has increased and like I developed more power of some sort. I think since I felt death I have become more aware more of things that I knew and it has become more clear. I have become drained though, I feel like wherever I go I can control the whole room.

I hear different implications in their words and see their intentions in their body language especially. I do feel paranoid as well too. I'm in my own psychic awakening too, have been for the past year to 2 years. I even see this in my own family, which means I don't even come out of my room if I don't have to! It's definitely different. I have a lot of cool spiritual experiences, but my social life is absolutely void. I don't think it's just your imagination, but I am not an expert. If you are feeling pains that aren't otherwise explained with medical issues than I'd say you are experiencing empathy. Take Care.

It doesn't surprise me that your sense's are feeling heightened after a near death experience. I had a traumatic event where I was attack in my front yard in the wee hours of the morning. The next two months that followed almost drove me crazy. I had always had sight prior to the event but I didn't fully trust it. I was still trying to figure it out as a young adult. I saw all kinds of shadows and felt many different presences. My attacker was never caught so I constantly felt like something was after me during that two month period. I stood up against the negative energies and realized they were more afraid of me.
I searched for answers and it came to me through research and other gifted people. Strengthen your spirit, pray, meditate daily and trust yourself. I wish someone came out and told me that point blank, but I had to put the pieces together on my own.
