NOTE: I'm a former policeman who has had a few psychic experiences and I am a firm believer in utilizing paranormal powers (when possible) to collect evidence that will solve crimes. I was trained in hostage negotiations and criminal profiling by the FBI and I am also a hypnotist.
There have been two recent disappearances in the Chicago area that I am interested in solving through the use of psychics. Both are housewives who expressed their desires to leave their marriages and both were reported missing by their husbands.
Case 1: Lisa Stebic, 37, missing since April 2007. According to her husband, Craig, she walked out of the house with her purse and cell phone, did not take her car, and never returned. He filed for divorce in January 2007 citing irreconcilable differences and they were both living in the same house. Craig Stebic says she must've walked or been picked up by someone. She was known to come home from work at 2:00 pm, then leave around 4:00 pm to go out on a regular basis. Neighbors confirmed this. She would return around 10 or 11:00 pm. While all possibilities exist, she could have been killed and dumped by her husband (an avid outdoorsman, hunter and deer poacher), or met her demise at the hands of someone she was dating. She had been out on a few dates with a girlfriend's family member while still married to and living in the home with Craig.
Case 2: Stacy Peterson, 23, missing since mid-October 2007. She was the 4th wife of 30 year veteran police sergeant Drew Peterson. He was 47 and she was 17 when they met. They were married for 5 years and had 2 kids. One of the children, a daughter, was named "Lacy..." He was married to and divorcing his 3rd wife, who drown in her bathtub in her own residence. That death was ruled accidental. Due to the disappearance of Stacy and the accusations of family members, the 3rd wife's body was recently exhumed for a full forensic autopsy. Stacy Peterson's mother was known to walk out and disappear for years at a time with no contact. Stacy developed severe depression after the death of her sister and was undergoing medical and pharmaceutical treatment. Sgt. Drew Peterson is accused of telling his wives he could kill them and make it look like an accident. Stacy demanded a divorce. She has not used her cell phone or credit cards since her disappearance. It is unknown if she was involved with another man, but Drew Peterson claims she left him to be with someone else. Stacy cared for her two children and Drew's two children from his third wife.
There are many more specifics involved in both cases, but I am being intentionally vague to prevent pre-judging.
Please be advised, I do not seek media attention and I believe the media is filled with self-serving, overly sensationalistic ego-maniacs. I want to solve these crimes in a quiet manner and stay away from the TV freak shows. I am looking for any assistance I can get in the way of psychic evidence gathering. Whatever is presented by volunteers, I will do the actual legwork. If any of you see something in your mind's eye that you feel is strong enough to check out, I will get in the field and investigate. Most policeman scoff at psychics for the same reason airline pilots don't report UFO's. Nobody likes to become the focus of ridicule.
