Last Saturday, I woke up the a beautiful smell of roses. The rose smell was fragrant and that of an expensive perfume. As I smelled the roses, I felt elation and protection at the same time.
I do not keep perfumes or candles in my bedroom. Therefore, in my opinion, the experience was supernatural. As I pondered on where the smell was coming from, I suddenly remembered that Catholics believe that the smell of roses has been experienced by others when the Virgin Mary appeared to them. The rose smell disappeared in three minutes. Yesterday morning, I was half-asleep and felt a darkness that pinned me down and tried to choke me. I woke up and tried to say a Hail Mary prayer. At first, my prayer was hard to say because I couldn't speak but as I recited it. However, I was able to finish my prayer coherently. The only explanation I have is that for six months, I have prayed on a daily basis to Jesus Christ to help poor, sick, destitute and homeless people. I also pray daily for miracles to help abused/neglected children and animals. My faith has also grown stronger in that I do not doubt God's word anymore. I worry less about everything. What is the connection between the two experiences I had? Does anyone have an answer.
Thank you.
One day me and my girlfriend were sitting around watching TV when suddenly there was an overpowering smell of death and the feeling of dread. We were both pretty freaked out and were about to run out of the trailer we were living in when the the feeling of dread left and the smell of death was replaced with the strong smell of roses. It was an experience I will never forget.
