I'm new to this site, or any site like this, and I decided to use this as my first post. It's one of the scariest things that's ever happened to me in my whole life of sensing and seeing things (most of which I don't even want to call "spirits," but "creatures" instead), and I'm on the verge of tears just writing it. To tell you the truth, when I was little I started to become sensitive to many emotions. Even emotions of things that have long passed away, like the sorrow of a mother whom had lost her child to the plague or something a hundred years ago (just as an example). After that it slowly started to elevate and I started to see an animal spirit. It looked like a wolf, and I always saw it look at me, turn away, and walk to any certain spot (usually to a giant tree that was in my old house's backyard). I never knew what the whole point of that was until recently.
All of that started happening when I was about five years old. I haven't seen the "wolf" that often since I moved, and to tell you the truth I kind of miss it. I felt like it was protecting me somehow. I've only seen it (the spirit form, anyway) two times in the past six years. (But that's besides the point.) It was the same wolf. A beautiful white with a storm gray color on its back, around its eyes, and through its tail. It had the most transparent, clear blue eyes (and I mean clear. They were so light they were almost white). The eyes of the wolf are one of the most important things in this, by the way, I'm not just being overly-descriptive.
Onto my most terrifying experience.
One day last year I went to my friend's house to spend the night for the first time. Upon arriving in her housing addition, I happened to notice a certain... Dog that looked just like my spirit wolf that I had missed so much, and it was staring at me through the openings of the fence keeping it in its owner's backyard. I was shocked a moment, but quickly (out of fear) brushed it off to the side...
After I was dropped off at her house, we did normal best friend things (which I will skip because it has no relevance to my story) and after a while, around 5:00 pm, we decided to ride her bikes down the road. The sun was just beginning to set and we took two of her bikes and rode down the street. I remembered he rambling on about a dog that she had wanted me to meet named Dusty, so I brought up the topic and she agreed (excitedly) to show me the dog. "It's half wolf, half husky," she always said, "and it has the most stunning eyes. I think you'd really love him." So we went to see him, my curiosity piqued.
When we arrived at the same fence around the same backyard that we had passed by on our way to her house. I was utterly shocked. It was the same dog I had seen... The one that looked just like the spirit wolf. It ran up to us overly-excited and stuck its head through the fence and licked me nearly to death; it seemed so happy to see me, even though it never met me. Even my friend was surprised and said, "Wow! I've never seen Dusty so happy to see a new person before! Maybe it was meant to be?" I was beginning to think so myself. It was rolling all over and ignored my friend the whole time while I was there.
But all too soon the dog, or now I should say wolf, stopped playing and rolling around. It stood straight up and stared directly at me; it's pupils were so small and its eyes were so wide. It looked like it was going to attack something. Our eyes stayed locked a moment until I noticed a stir of movement out of my left eye (my most "sensitive" eye to the paranormal), making me glance over to the end of the street. There was a shadow that had darted from the centre of the street to behind a tree on the side. I felt a chill go through my body (it was in the middle of summer) and I looked back over to the wolf whom had been staring in the same direction, showing its teeth. I slowly reached my hand over to pet him and he slammed into the fence and howled at me and I heard a gruff voice in my head say, "Get away from here! Go before you both get hurt! Escape to her home!" I was shocked to the point of tears and I told her we had to go back to her house for a bad reason and she knew what I meant (she knows of my experiences) and we literally hauled back to her house faster than I ever thought we could, especially on a bike.
When we reached her house we stood inside of her garage and I told her everything and she had verified of Dusty's strange behavior. After telling her everything the wind whipped up and she almost fell backwards as my eyes were draw upward to the sky that was now painted with the colours of the setting sun. Scanning the sky I was shocked as I saw a white figure moving at an extreme speed across the sky. It seemed to look like horse with some odd blob on its back (it went too fast to see it properly), and it was the brightest white I had ever seen, making it stand out amongst the reds and oranges of the sky. Even my friend froze in her place and asked me if I saw it and I just nodded. After a moment I heard some voice in the back of my head telling me to go check on Dusty. My friend and I agreed to check on him and I was very worried. We made it back to his yard and I looked over the fence to see him standing still, like a wolf would before it was going to sprint and pounce on its prey.
I simply called out his name and he looked straight at me, his eyes still wide with small pupils. I felt a chill go down my spine and I knew he wasn't right. I couldn't even blink before he darted at me and jumped up against the fence, slamming into it, making me jump back. He howled and barked and yipped like crazy. I heard the same gruff voice say, "I told you to escape! Go back, back!" But I just said "no," to it. Almost instantaneously the wolf calmed and stared at me with the exact eyes of the spirit wolf I had always seen. He simply said (in my mind) "The Horseman. He comes for you. You must leave. Go and be safe. He's nearby. The house is safe. Go and be protected." I just said "no," again and then the breeze picked up and out of the corner of my eye, in the same spot as before, I saw a shadow figure. But this time there were seven. I looked over and saw the shadows, the one in the centre was on a horse. The rider had a hood over his head and something in his right hand that I couldn't quite make out. The others were just standing there with hoods over their heads. I nearly screamed and I looked over at Dusty and he lunged at the fence and shouted in my mind, "GO NOW! LEAVE!" and it kept looking between me and the house. I knew what he meant so I got my friend and we ran back to her house, leaving the bikes there until later that night when we went to retrieve them.
That night both my friend and I had nearly the same dream involving the cloaked figure. And one of my other friends (whom is sensitive) had been driving by the addition when the shadow flew across the sky, and also had a similar dream. In my friend's dream (the one who drove by, the figure said "It will die. Disappear." and my other friend (I was at her house) it said "It will be punished. Hung and crucified." and mine said "It will never be saved." and reached a claw out to grab at me. That night, I also happened to have a plushie of Dusty I was holding...
Sorry it was so long... But I feel much better now that this is off of my chest. Love to write so I'm sorry if I added too much detail. I've seen the horseman twice since then and Dusty has always been overly excited to see me and has been very protective over me. I would really like some help. I don't understand my powers (if I have any) and I don't understand my situation. I'm in tears now (half from the fear and half from happiness from being able to tell people.) and I just want to know what this is. What powers do I have and what does this wolf mean? I'm a Christian so I've never believed in animal protectors so I'm very confused. Please help me with answers...
