My dreams usually have meaning. My grandfather visits me frequently- sometimes just to say hi or if he's bringing a message. However, I had this dream once, years ago, and I wanted see if anyone knows what it could possibly mean now that I found this site.
I've always had a feeling I was going to die young, ever since I was 10 or so. I have no idea why, but for whatever reason, this feeling is still with me to this day. I always feel like I never have enough time or that I'm running out of time- I have to work harder, or get this or that done sooner.
In my dream, I was leaving a movie theater, walking in a crowd out into the parking lot when a fight broke out and I was shot twice. This dream occurred about 5 years ago, and I still can feel where I was "shot." It felt like a burning sledgehammer hit me from behind on my left shoulder blade and on the lower right side of my back. I feel to the ground, crying. I heard screaming, and it got very dark. When I woke up, I was at a beach that's by my grandfather's house. I grew up around water. I love it. It's comforting to me. I wasn't in pain, but like I was waking up. I looked to the water and saw my grandfather on top of it, walking towards me.
I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "I'm here to get you, you're coming with me," I recently had moved into a new apartment at this time, and said to him, "But I haven't showed you my new place yet," he replied, "Yes, I've already seen it, I was there the first day you moved in," at which point I grabbed his hand, and I felt so weightless! And started walking with him out over the ocean. I remember how blue the sky was, how calm it was, how sunny it was... It was so peaceful compared to the chaos at the theater when I was "shot."
Do you think it is a sign that I will in fact die young?
