Empathy At Work

My name is Chris and I am an Empath: one with the ability to sense and feel the emotions and feelings of others around him or her. It was fortuitous enough for me to be born with my ability from my mother; she is primarily innately clairvoyant, but I guess she had just a touch of clairsentient ability in her being, and thus I was lucky enough to receive that little bit of Empathy.

So, I've been reading for a long while, ever since I was about 12, and I used to be such a sponge; I would just sit there and absorb every little flicker of emotion that came my way. Eventually it got to the point where I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I started looking into shielding, grounding and centering myself to lessen the overflow of emotions that was gradually becoming me.

And as I did that, I discovered that it really does help to ground and center every now and again. So to all Empaths and psychics alike, seriously do meditate because you will discover a whole new world away from all the negativity and moral decay that you feel on an almost daily basis from people. As I got older, I noticed that my ability began to grow stronger and more accurate.

And sooner or later, I began to just have to focus my thoughts on an individual in order to read them. It's quite nice being able to harness such an incredulously accurate, innate tool for being able to psychically scan a person's psyche and see (or sense) what's really on their mind.

So now that I've read through this post in its entirety, I understand now that it is simply a booster to any Empath that feels like their gift is a curse. It is only a curse if you choose to continue to see it as that. But if you take the time to understand it and harness it, then you will see a whole other side to what you can do.

Thank you,

Chris B.

OK, in order to center and ground yourself, you must first either be sitting on the floor comfortably, or sitting on a chair that allows your feet to touch the ground. Next, get into a calm, tranquil state. Clear your mind and let nothing permeate it. Let your conscious mind become a dark void. Breathe in through the nose, and exhale out through the mouth. Keep that up until you start to notice yourself almost dozing off into a trance-like state; let it happen. Do not attempt to understand it or analyze anything, just simply flow and become one with this new state of mind. Once you are there, continue breathing in the nose and out the mouth. Imagine your feet becoming earthly energetic roots that plunge deep into the earth beneath you. Feel these roots pulling up positive, balancing, healing energies into your center and visualize the negative (the energy doesn't necessarily have to be negative), used, expended energy leaving your center through the roots. That is the grounding/centering portion of the meditation. To shield, when you feel like you have been sufficiently grounded and centered, "pull" the roots up from the earth and thank the earth for its contribution to your energy. Next, visualize a golden light descending upon your Crown (7th Chakra) Chakra; imagine it permeating the Crown Chakra and draping over your entire body with gentle ease and comfort. Ask that this golden light protect and comfort you wherever you go from negative, painful, depressing, etc. Emotions of others and allow only the positive, happy, joyous, etc. Emotions of others to permeate your soul. You can strengthen and amplify this shield as needed whenever. Do this entire meditation often, because as Empaths we tend to get drained a lot quicker and a lot easier when we're out and about, especially if you're more of an empathic "sponge", so to speak. Good luck and good skill! 😁

how do you meditate and center/ground yourself? I am also an empath and feel overwhelmed in crowded places such as my job at a busy grocery store: (and when I'm not working I'm taking care of my two little ones which adds to my overwhelmedness
