Animal Psychic Turned Medium?

I have been an animal psychic for as long as I can remember, but besides with animals I have shown no other abilities. However I am starting to question if I am a medium or not after my dream series that I have gotten the past couple of weeks.

My gram passed away a year and a half ago. The other night I had a dream that I was in her hospice room with some of my aunts. Suddenly I was falling or flying I am not sure which and didn't open my eyes to find out until I had stopped moving. When I opened my eyes I was in a white room with huge columns, and something that looked like a clock, although it might not have been, in the background. Suddenly a woman with red hair, and dark rimmed glasses came up to me. She started talking like she had known me my whole life. I had never seen this woman in my entire life. I don't remember a whole lot of the conversation, but something she said really stuck with. She said " Remember I told you that you have to go to Detroit to shoot someone, well I have never been to Detroit, I guess that's how I ended up here." the last thing she said to me was " don't worry, sweetie, my spirit is fading, this takes a lot out of an old woman like me, but don't you worry I will be back." Then I woke up crying. When I told my mom about it she showed me a picture and asked if it was the woman, when I confirmed that it was she told me it was my grams high school picture. Which is when I finally remember that a few months before she passed she told me and my cousin the Detroit quote.

Since then I have had a relatively same dream about my uncle, and a very close family friend, who have also passed away, but they all started in different rooms. I'm not sure if I am a medium or if it was really just a dream. I am scared to be a medium because ghosts scare me, but my dreams were very peaceful not creepy. If you have experienced any of this or know if I'm a medium or not please comment I really need your help. Thanks.

Theanimalchick, I have had dreams of family that have
Passed away.
The dream is in a different room.
But as time goes by if you have need of support
They can come as an orb which I've seen.
They also come in a full body form to give comfort
And support.

I have never considered myself a medium even
Seeing and feeling them, and hear them when they
Are in orb form or a spirit mist,"color green".
I realize mediums see spirits as well as hear and
Feel them.

My belief is mediums see/hear/feel 24/24, that would
Be my husband. He's very good about closing
Spirits out. He refuses to be on 24hrs a day.

Now the belief about mediums in this age: is they
Give messages and proof of life after death.
The information being gleaned by picking up messages.
If this is what you are refering to?
Then Yes you would be a new age medium.

No, she definitely didn't mean it litteraly. When she said it originally it was because my cousin got hurt and was in a lot of pain and said she wanted to shoot something. I would never take advice like that literally, spirit guide or not. I think she meant it as a joke because after she started laughing... But still I know what you mean.

I hope when she said "shoot someone" she was implying photography. Otherwise, relative or not, I would not toy with the idea of such negative advice. No true guide or loving spirit would wish you to harm anyone. Not that you would but some people take suggestions from elder relatives (dead or alive) a little too seriously.
