Stray Animals Attracted To Me

I should have been looking into this years ago but I am really interested to speak with someone who has knowledge in this department and who could explain some of the things that happen around me?

Cats are very drawn to me, strays will always approach me, my cats are like loyal dogs to me who follow me everywhere, literally! I was at a casino in the middle of nowhere once and I was outside having a smoke on the bench when suddenly a little kitten out of nowhere jumped in my lap. There were no homes in sight for a cat to be there and it wouldn't leave it sat right on the bench waiting for me to come out. Out of all the people that go into a casino why me?

When I was a baby I almost went through crib death twice, both times it was a cat that saved me. Went crazy meowing and running up the stairs until someone followed it to my room both times I was blue.

When I was 7 we went on a family trip to PEI where most of my family is. There was a stray dog that my great grandmother would feed even though it would not approach anyone, not even her. Well it warmed up to me right away we played in the driveway, I was digging in the mud when I heard a giant YELP! I went to see what happened, the neighbors didn't like the dog and when they saw it playing with me they got in their car, pulled out of their driveway into mine and ran over the dog! I sat with the dog until he stopped breathing, there was nothing we could do.

A few months later on my way home from school I saw the dog, it was standing to the right of me looking right at me. When I turned to look at it directly it was gone? I never ever saw it again but I always wonder if it was possible for animal spirits to watch over you?

The house we moved into when I was 8 apparently believed to have a spirit in the house as the previous owners had a teenage son who was very depressed and threw himself in front of a train. In that house we felt blankets being taken off of us, one time I felt a forceful hand grab my shoulder and flip me onto my back just as my dad was opening my bedroom door. My dad was kind of an angry guy and would really hit the roof if he got home and the kitchen table was still dirty but my brother and I would always wait until we heard the car pulling in before we cleaned the table, well we would always hear it and jump up and clean that table and then when we would go and look it wouldn't be there. But he would always pull in like 3 minutes later. Other people could hear it too. It was an old clunker so there was no mistaking it for someone else's car, it was almost like something warning us?

My grandma came to visit us when I was 10 and she died in my room while she was there. She had emphysema and always slept with the windows open even in the winter. Well for a year after that I slept walked and opened all the windows in the house and also tried to leave the house. My dad had to direct me back to bed. He put major locks on the doors because of my sleep walking, yet I would know to put my boots and coat and scarf on and unlock all those locks, it took enough time that he would hear it and be able to keep me inside but if he ever asked me what I was doing I would always say I was going to visit grandma? Where the hell would that be? She was cremated?

Those are just some of the major things that happened. When I'm angry lights go so bright they almost pop, car alarms will go off around me. I am an extreme empath, I can feel other people so my moods are always up and down I have no idea how to control it. I get images in my head seconds before something happens, its never enough time to actually do something about it but the images are there.

I had a dream about a month ago that I was about to lay down on my couch to go to sleep IN THE DREAM and the minute I laid on the couch a tall man came out of the shadows and stood over me pouring water on my face almost as though to tell me I need to wake up, and I did, I woke out of my sleep with a jolt.

When I told my dad about it he said I just described his father, whom I have never met nor saw pictures of as he was a Satan worshiper and a mean mean drunk? The dream itself was really creepy yet something in the dream told me not to be afraid?

I had a dream a couple of years back that I was laying in bed with my husband we were watching a movie and there was this sick scary being in the bed next to me with gross tangly hair and sores on her face it was disgusting. In the dream my husband kept telling me to just not look at it and it will go away but I was so curious I kept trying to get a peak of what it was and it was like it felt me trying to look at it so it turned its head really fast and I could hear the breathing so I turned my head really fast but it was too late it knew I was trying to look at it and it turned towards me and put its face on the side of my head and my husband kept calmly saying not to look it in the eye or I will go insane. When I woke up and recounted the dream I realized it was wearing the same nightgown that I was wearing IT WAS ME! WTF? That dream still makes my skin crawl and it was at a time that I was having an emotional melt down.

A friend of mine just moved in and said she feels something attached to me and is in the house because random things will fall or the tv will just shut off, I will often see a cat torpedoing down my stairs, NOT the same colors as the cats I currently have.

Sorry for the long long rant lol, but could someone give me some of their expertise?

Thanks!

Jen

Woah! I thought I was the only one, when I was 8 trick-or-treating with my dad and my sister 2 stray cats started running after me, circling and purring at me. And when I'm sad my cat ginger will run over to me purring and licking me and trying to comfort me, even if I don't show that I'm sad. If she doesn't come to me or I'm somewhere where she can't it will suddenly rain a lot. Sometimes I'll think something about it wanting it to rain and later in the day it will. And I have some kind of sense where I can feel if someone's coming even if I can't see them or hear them. I can also feel if someone's sad or broken, it's a really odd feeling that I can't describe. One time I went to my cousin's house and there cat berserker buns instantly bonded with me and was very sweet, and my cousin said "she's not like this even with me, you must have some kind of connection". Lately I've had a lot of dreams with a black cat with green eyes in it.

While I know this post is years old, I just wanted to say that I have the same situation with the exception that I have not seen full blown entities. I've only once seen soemthing that I have no name for but it was a white wavering form that appeared and disappeared. However, I was so happy to read "I get images in my head seconds before something happens, its never enough time to actually do something about it but the images are there." This exact thing happens to me all the time and I wish there was something I could do to avoid having bad things happen. However, it seems that we are just sensitive but have no power or duty to change things. It seems that we are used for good or evil in this world so when in doubt, choose God and choose GOOD. As stephyw2001 related, don't take other people's emotions on as a personal burden. Meditate on forming your own spiritual protective bubble and keep yourself safely incased in it at all times. If you have a day when you are feeling mentally week or drained, stay away from people as much as you can and do the things that bring you peace.

Jen, this is something I struggle with constantly. CONSTANTLY. Its always a battle for empathetic people to not get caught up in it. The best thing to do is literally surround yourself with things that make you happy and calm you. I drink tea every day. I buy "zen" themed posters to remind me to take breaths and clear my mind. I remind myself to not get too emotional over something that is either something stupid, or possibly not even my emotion to begin with.

I totally agree with Eagleclaw. DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT PSYCHIC STUFF AT WORK. Never never never. Its not a good idea. That is why groups like these exist. Its like in the good old days, Politics, Religion and Health were not acceptable talk at the dinner table. Pyschic talk is not appropriate at work. All it will do is make people think things they would not normally think and definitely single you out. Whether they believe you or not, it will single you out. Your job is your lively hood and without it, you'll just get stressed even more.

As much as it sucks, I would let people's problems be. If you feel so compelled to ask if anything is wrong, go ahead. Most people can recognize when someone is upset. But you need to leave it at that. Don't get caught up with the politics at work. Everyone has problems and emotions. Its not your burden to carry. Stay confident that when you know you did nothing wrong, you did nothing wrong. Don't let your mind play games with you.

Hello Jen,

You must realize that just because you can feel and know others emotions does not mean that you have caused them. You do not have to own their emotions. They are theirs to own and to make decisions about. I sense feeling from others but I keep it to myself for the most part. You need to create boundaries for yourself. They are good for you and others as well.

I often tend to feel that whatever is wrong I have done somehow so I end up asking those types of questions. I've never told anyone (didn't even know there was a term for what I felt) I just feel the changes in the moods at work, like knowing who's going to be fired before they do and knowing the dishonest management are upto things, and the stress of it ends up getting me laid off.
How do you separate yourself from what you're feeling so that I'm not taking it so personal or taking it on so strongly that I feel something is wrong personally...?

Hi Jen,
As a general rule, I never try to control my abilities. What I sense from others I keep to myself unless it is absolutely necessary to help another person with something. And, most times, I will wait until they ask me what I think about a situation first. Hope that helps.
PS Never talk about abilities on the job to anyone. You will be singled out if you do so. Just my opinion.

I am just glad to hear no one thinks something is haunting me lol!

At first I took the dream as a warning to where my mind was headed but was very curious what others thought of that.

My grandfather, the same one in the dream always told my grandmother he would haunt her in this life and the next and people thought she was crazy after she passed until they saw lights bursting and floors creaking all around her... So it just makes me wonder what's going on lol.

Now that I know that cats CAN be guardians I am almost certainly convinced that the cat that saved my life twice as a baby is who I keep seeing around my house, it was completely black.

Does anyone have advice on how to control the empath abilities? It costs me jobs and friends because no one can keep secrets around me, and that can definitely stress ME as well as others...

Hello Jen,

In regards to the cats. For some reason they are connected to you. They seem to be your guardians. And yes, some people have animals as their spirit guide. You have the cat that torpedoes down the stairs and possibly the dog too. The dog could have also came to you to say goodbye too.
T seems to me that you can see spirits that have passed on. You saw your grandmother and grandfather.
I'm sorry that you had that terrible dream. Try not to dwell on it too much. Think of positive things instead. Hopefully you will not have this dream again. Hope this helps.

Try not to have any emotional meltdowns. 😳 I'm also a cat person, cats (and all animals) love me, though cats are by far my favorite. They may be your animal guardians. My cats are very loyal to me as well, like dogs too. We have an understanding of eachother. Usually I'll wonder something like "where is my Trixy?" and she'll come running out from where ever she was hiding to greet me.

My cat Cheeto is my rescued stray. He sounds like the casino cat in your story. I worked at a restaurant at the time, and he was living behind the restaurant. He would not come up to ANYONE behind the restaurant. He hid under dumpsters or cars. But for some reason he came to me. It amazed all the other people around the restaurant. So I'd feed him, and then one day I caught him and took him home. We got him all fixed up and he's my boyfriend's loyal shop cat now. (My boyfriend is a carpenter). Cheeto will be with us 1 year this Christmas.

I take comfort in giving back to the cats. I sew catnip toys for the poor homeless ones stuck in cages, and I donate them to my favorite shelters. I volunteer at the shelter. I like to spread awareness of how to care for your cat and to always alter your pet. How to help them if they are in need. It brings me joy and makes me feel good that I can return the love that the cats bring to me.

I'm not telling you that you must go be a volunteer at the shelter, but since it makes me so happy, it might make you happy too. That you can have such a great relationship with animals and that it can be both give and take. Especially if you have anxiety, or are afraid of negative spirits that may surround you. Good karma will always help your case, no matter what it is.

As for the dreams, dreams can be disturbing at times, but they don't always mean you need to dwell on them. Sometimes they are messages, and sometimes you just ate something funky and your body is upset and therefore making weirdo dreams. It happens to me a lot. Try to not let them bother you too much.

Sorry if I wasn't too helpful.
