Before I begin my story I must tell you about Luke's.
On April 10th, 2011 I lost one of my best friends in the world. His name was Luke Andrew Braddford. He was only eighteen years young when he took his life. Luke was and is the best friend I could have ever asked for. He shined a light of his own and stayed true to himself. He sparkled in a different way than all of my other friends. We all miss him and love him very much.
It was April 11th, 2011 when I got the call telling me that my best friend was gone. My friend Autumn called me and told me the news. I got off the phone with Autumn and called one of my closest friends, Courtney. She said she would get a ride to my house and stay with me. Crying my eyes out I walked outside and went to walk my neighborhood. As I was walking down the road it sounded as if someone was behind me. When I turned around I saw what seemed to be a bright light behind me. I thought it was the way the sunlight was reflecting off my tears so I continued walking.
Courtney stayed with me the entire week so I wasn't alone. The night that she left I got out of the shower and went in my room to get dressed. As I was getting dressed I heard the handle on my locked door jiggle. I ignored it and continued getting dressed. Well, it happened again as if something was trying to get in my room. I said Luke's name out loud, and it stopped. That's when I found out he was staying with me.
That night I woke up at 3:27 a.m. Which is the exact time of my other friend, Abby's, death. I woke to see someone on the ladder to my bunkbed. I slowly whispered "Hello?" As soon as they turned around and I got a good look at them the vanished. I picked up my phone to call Courtney because I KNEW it was Luke but... My phone was dead. Did Luke use the energy from my phone to manifest so I could see him?
It has now been two months, two weeks, and five days since Luke passed. A few weeks ago I went over to Courtney's house. Courtney's family is a wicken family. Courtney's mother came in and we communicated with Abby and Luke. Her mom told me it was up to me to make sure Luke crosses over because he hasn't yet and he needs to. I know he needs to but he won't listen. I've tried and tried again to help him. But he won't listen.
It's been a few weeks since I was at Courtney's and still to this day I get my nightly visits from Luke. My friends come over and things will happen and they get really scared. It just doesn't bother me anymore. But I don't know if I will be able to develop other abilities or if it is only for Luke. I just don't understand.
