Strange Dreams And Other Things

Ever since I was little I always was able to think of something or come up with a theory and later that day it would happen. It was when I turned 7 that I started to have strange dreams. The night before my birthday I had a dream that I would get a guitar, the next day I completely forgot my dream and then it happened and I remembered the dream.

It suddenly stopped for a while but when I turned 12 things started to happen. I regained the ability to predict stuff while awake. For example, once when I was watching a TV show, it had a season finale, I said this to my mum "They are going to both survive the fire but one of them will be really hurt" next year, it happened.

This happened non stop for ages and then the dreams started again, but not when I'm asleep. When I daydream, I forget straight after what the daydream was but I remember hours maybe days later, I remember because something happens that is exact to my dream.

Now I'm 14 turning 15 and the dreams have stopped but I still predict little things, I know when a storms coming, when someone is sick and strangely I'm able to sometimes understand what animals want.

Now these things happen on and off but only go for 2 years at a time then have a break, for example, I had them at 7 lost them at 9. Now I get it back at 12 but they seem to be fading now I'm nearly 15.

I was wondering is this common for them to go on breaks, am I a psychic. Sometimes when a family member dies I have dreams about them the day before the death, for example I dreamt my fish would die and my cat.

Aussie310 - Read your story and wanted to share some thoughts that you might want to think about. I don't have any definite answers; just thought my opinion might help you.

I grew up experiencing dreams very much the same way you are now. I still have dreams with short and long breaks in between. You may want to do some research into precognition. There are different types of abilities and reasons out there for experiencing premonitions and/or precognition.

It took me many years to figure out that I am an empath/clairvoyant.

All of this is a process that could keep growing and changing as you move towards becoming an adult and beyond. I wish you all the best.

I have those too. I usually don't dream about things unless they are really important. Like I had a dream a few months ago that I had to move, and I was really sad, a few days after I found out that we would be moving. But I always have those 'thoughts' that come true. I had them when I was younger, then I stopped having them for a couple years. Then about a month ago, I remembered how I used to have them and I missed it, then about a week after that I started having them again, and I still do. So as far as I'm concerned. It's pretty normal. (:
