Detecting Someone's Mood or Problems

I also can detect someone's mood or problems they have whether at home or it being secret. As a little girl I could tell someone attitude or personality once I glanced at them and I would think everyone could do it. My mom was close friends with a lady and only I could see her fakeness. She was only my mom's friend because my mom knew people and would have really good connections to almost everywhere. My mom thought she was a good friend. My mom would give her every thing she needed. But the one time my mom needed something, she didn't receive it from her. Her daughters would steal money out of my mom's purse and then they'd lie about it. Then they'd lock us out the house late at night. She'd say some disrespectful things to my mom.

And to this day she doesn't think she did anything wrong to my mom. Well my mom and her relationship hasn't been the same since. She then saw that I was right from the get-go about her now ex-friend. And boy do these abilities come in handy. I'm wondering how I can make these abilities stronger though, please help me. Everyone's mentioning meditation but I don't know how to do that really. Please helps.

I'm a empath and I know peoples body language and how it conveys to their mood to almost perfection, I never realized until I went to a psychic and she told me how sensitive I was. It started making lots of sense and I'm still learning new things everyday, the more you pay attention to your ability and how its untilized and its effects the more it will grow. I suggest mediation, dream recall and intepretation, as well as connecting with nature and reflection on your mind. Don't go too deep into your problems but into what creates those problems and troubles that you've worked through in the past and how they can apply to the present. Once you do the inner work and clear out your blockages and the negative I promise you, you shall reap the rewards. Just realize feeling positive throught the negative is a ideal state of mind.

That's interesting because I'm currently trying to figure out which path I want to take in my life regarding work.
I enjoy music journalism but my minor was Peace & Conflict Studies. I was a mediator mentor & I really thrived in that position. It's been difficult for me to find work where I live, but of course I can keep trying.
Thanks for the advice!

Cloudy...Hi. You being able to hear thoughts or project your own is telepathy. Empathy is being able to feel a person's mood.

Empathy makes you a good counselor. 😊

I'd like to relate a few things...
I had no idea there was a community of empaths, yet it was assuring for me to find this online. It's hard to talk to other people in person about these things.
The way I've dealt with my strength of being empathic is to accept what I am interpreting. Whether or not I'm always right, I try to accept what I am hearing, feeling or intuiting.
Now that I have started to trust my senses, new exciting things are happening!
At first, I heard people's inner thoughts & many times I can say things for people and they say, "Hey thanks!" I can always think of a word someone is trying to convey, & there have been times where I've known the word, but instead of saying it, I repeat it in my head until they say it out loud.
Lately, I've been able to put up a shield of white light. The reason I started doing this a year ago was because I thought other people were sucking energy from me!
SO, I went to the book store and read up on that method. It has been working; it seems to help me to project calmness when I sense others are unintentionally affecting me negatively. They usually back away, as in walking away or ask me a strange question.
Lately, I have been observing new phenomena of this empathic ability. I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this...
While speaking with someone, I connect to them. Obviously, I enjoy doing that but I am trying to keep my own court these days.
Well, I'm connecting to their story & feel how their mood is being conveyed physically. After focusing on their face I shift my focus to their whole body and relax my gaze. I look to the side of their body, breaking eye contact completely.
The person thinks I'm thinking about their words but it's much more...
Most of the time after this step, I feel I can read their body language to a heightened degree.
I can intuit other things, such as... If they are secretly feeling sexual that day or have pent up anger or are desperately sad or manic. Stuff like that.
I want to connect with others who can do this, because I've learned it on my own & wonder if there is something constructive that I can be doing.
Good luck to everyone... Meditation does help, a lot.

haha I don't have to look at a person to see how they feel, just being in a certain distance is enough for me. I've known I was empathic for a long time, before I knew what empathic meant itself haha... How ironic. Well, if you don't like it you better learn how to block or shift their energy into something you'd both enjoy. But as for being in crowded places... It can get highly annoying. I still have horrible headaches constantly... Still working on how to get rid of them... And my empathy just adds to my sickness. At first I tried to deny that this was part of the problem so I had over 6 years of medical testing on me... And still am with a constant headache. I've had almost every possible human test imaginable to see if they could find the cause, but they can't *except fibro... Which means nothing*...proving that some things are deeper than what appears on the outside. Though if you ignore certain issues like empathy-raw emotions, you can end up in a train wreck causing insomnia, headaches, black outs, tightness *espeically in chests, stomach, neck and back for most empaths*, spasms, even death...ext. Very few people have I met that are actually as sensative... Where it causes such a breakdown. Sometimes if a certain person just drives you to the point of insanity, it's better to just leave them then try to keep close. I've learned this with my own flesh and blood, which can be highly difficult, but at the same time it can change your life for the best.
Remember that just because this person makes you feel horrible because of the unconcious energy they send out, does not make them a bad person at all

Again try acupunture, Reiki... Is probably more up your alley, sometimes just being alone, remember to note certain people that highly annoy you and how to distance youreslf or change how you percieve them

Its empathy and I get that too and sometimes it can be a real downer becuase you are actually feeling their same feelings! I love it and hate it at the same time! ❤ 😠

i wrote on my experiences with the dead before so if anyone read that story they might already know me. But once I started meditating I learned that I'm capable of dozens of abilities its actually really cool! I suggest finding out which chakra point are open in your body first then going from there. For me a dark silent room is perfect. Having a vivid imagination is always a plus. By focusing on those points you will able to control anything you want, whatever might your ability be.

I understand what you feel. I can walk into a room and be intune with the whole room, its like their emotions, thoughts and fears literally slam into my chest. As cliches as it is its like Vibes. Some times I do things automatically without thinking that I know that person wants me to do and realize in mid action they never asked. I can also control volumes on Tvs... And hear people talking. Some times I feel like a manipulator because I can direct people into doing things with out their knowledge... I don't know It bothers me at time to not be able to figure it out.

i have a similar thing. Like I can just look at a person and I can immediately tell what sort of mood they are in or how they will react to something. Some people, people I only just meet I feel I have known for ages. Its like I can know what a person is feeling or is going to feel or say or what to say to change there mood. Confusing huh?

Yeah I know its Empathy because I have it. But I also have ability to flick off lights. Also I have dreams of people who have passed away and sometime see them out of my dreams. I have only heard a voice once when I had just woken up. They were trying to get my attention saying,"hey, hey, hey!" I was scared back then so I didn't meet eyes with the person. Then after they called a name there was some movemant on the floor like some crawling.😐

Lol that's just being empathic or in tune with others around you. People always want to know what can I do to make it stronger, how can I focus on other people. But before you expand your horizon out to others, you must first understand the complete workings of your own body. The more you become in tune with your body and it's functions the more you can see from other people's perspectives.

I have that same hunch about people and it does indeed come in handy. To meditate just find a quiet, comfortable place free of distractions and clear your mind, focusing only on your breathing. Having candles, crystals or soft background music helps some people. While meditating, it would help to visualize your aura expanding (it increases psychic abilities).

Being able to pick up a person's true feelings is called Empathy, by the way. As I'm sure you already know, it's always good to trust our intuition.
