Poppy Flower Connection

I was hesitant to share this story, but I'm just sincerely curious as to what others may know about it. So here goes:

I really wanted to plant poppy flowers for the LONGest time, but was never able to find any (because certain types are illegal, since they can be used to make drugs.) But honestly, I don't do drugs, and I felt compelled to have poppies for other reasons. Generally, I felt like they were going to help me tune into new kinds of energy, and teach me how to "root" myself and meditate more easily and such.

So I finally found them (Shirley poppies, not drug poppies, I promise hahaha). And then I planted them.

Ever since the day I planted them, my dreams have been very strong. I already trained a bit in lucid dreaming but dropped it a few months ago for certain personal reasons. And since I got the poppies, I've been lucid dreaming without even trying. Also, I've had better recall and my dreams are very clear and straightforward.

3 of the dreams stood out. For example, I had a horrible gut feeling about an old friend last week, like something had happened with her boyfriend and she was very depressed. So I tried to look for her FaceBook and couldn't find it. She had deleted it. I didn't have her number, so I spent the next two days worrying about her deeply. Finally, I had a dream that we sat down and had a nice, looong conversation, and that she was okay. I woke up at peace about it. There were two more dreams where I had conversations with people that settled our issues, and I've been at peace about those situations as well.

Eventually I figured out that my poppies were giving me the dreams!

-

All my life, I've had this connection with animals, specifically dogs. Even dogs who are trained to fight are super sweet to me and only me. I have conversations with my dogs and they reply... It's like I know exactly what they're thinking. People have witnessed this and know I'm not making it up. I really do talk with animals.

I never knew I could do it with plants, though. But when I talk to them, I feel them listening.

And to confirm it, a few nights ago I had a dream about my poppies, that they were fully bloomed. I felt like they were telling me that they were happy and felt loved, and that they loved me back. And now, every morning I feel like they're the ones waking me up because they miss me, and I feel likewise.

Oh, and two days ago, I couldn't feel them waking me up in the morning. They were really quiet, even after I talked to them. So I looked closer and realized one of the sprouts had died, and then they told me they were mourning him. I was really sad all day, picking up on their sadness.

But before that, they had been very lively, and they kept sending me happy feelings as I sat next to them drinking my tea and meditating (it tickled my stomach so much that I burst out laughing).

Basically I can talk to nonhuman things, hahaha. Sorry that this story is so long.

But I did want to ask. I've heard one story about a lady's rose garden that gave her psychic visions. And poppies represent dreams and sleep, so... If I had planted any other type of flower, would something different have happened? Does anyone know anything about the kind of energies different plants give off? I'd appreciate any information, because I plan to plant others when I know more. Thank you so much.

Yes, I have a few different species of poppies' seeds: Shirley, Oriental and Flander's. I can't wait to grow them again next year:)

Awww. Poor poppies! Were you able to keep any of their seeds? That would be awesome if you could keep them alive through multiple generations!:-D

OH! And here's an addition to the story!

Since I wrote the original post, my poppies died: (It was an accident. I was misinterpreting their signals and kept watering them, thinking they were thirsty... But they actually needed sunlight. I was "feeding" them the wrong thing.
It was weird how they died... I started getting severely sick. I described it as being very dehydrated and feeling moldy.
Then, someone explained to me that when you over-water a plant, it gets root-rot. Basically, the roots start growing mold and can no longer absorb water, so they die of dehydration.
So I empathically felt my plants dying, without even realizing it.

Yeah. That was definitely freaky. But my plants forgave me before they died, because they knew I didn't do it on purpose.

iwanttohelp: I'm not sure if it can be taught. I mean, I found out about my connection to them purely by accident. But I have new plants now that I talk to and meditate with. Even though I haven't had a spiritual conversation yet, I can feel our connection growing:) So give meditation a shot.

And stephyw2001, thanks! I never considered that. Maybe poppies and dogs are just my thing, hahaha. I'll have to wait until next year to grow poppies again, but I will definitely keep them around when I have the chance. <3

Sorry for the late comment! I totally think its possible that you have a connection with the poppies. It's not hard for people to accept birthstones, horoscopes, or the opposites-attract theories. Why not accept that certain items or elements are tuned into certain individuals? The physcial properties of the poppy could be attracted to your physical properties. Same with dogs. I'm a cat person, but generally, all animals are attracted to me. Even the bugs. I can't go outside without them instantly swarming me. Its become a joke among all my neighbors. Its that obvious. I say if the poppies help, then you should definitely have them around!:-D

What a nice story!
Can you learn something like that to others?
I have a Kalanchoe Calandiva and a Rose mallow. I'm jealous, but the same time happy, because a bond between human and plants can exit! ❤

I love this, I almost cried at the cuteness of your poppy story. I have a tree in my backyard. I love her, and I will go out and sit on the swing hanging from her branch, and talk to her for long periods of time, telling her how I love her, and how beautiful she is. I used to climb her when I was little, but I don't anymore, because I fear I will break her branches. Unfortunately I have to move, and she is way way way too big to take. I just hope the new family in our home will love her and take care of her the way I do. <3
And I also have a connection with animals. Not as good as you, I wish I could talk to them like that. But I usually only can if they are mine, especially my rats.

Ah, I understand that! My poppies tell me very sweet, simple things like how they love me and missed me when I was gone. And they lend me their energy without my having to ask. They're so generous and kind. I love them, and yes, I feel close to mine as well. ❤

Just curious, do your plants have any other effects on you? Like how my poppies give me dreams and your daisies give you confidence? Is there anything else you could possibly specify for me? I'm eager to know.

I just want to say this story tickled my heart and I'm glad you shared it! 😊
I'm the same way with dogs. Other animals too, mostly cats. Whenever I was little I had a cat that would get outside and run away and not come back for days so we kept him inside. But every time he got out, I was always the one that had to go catch him because he would listen to me whenever I told him to stop. He didn't like anyone else in the family and I could see why. He only liked me and always slept on my tummy at night.

I have an aloe plant. I get a similar piece of mind just by watering it and taking care of it. Getting to feel what it feels, exchange personal favors. We're very close 😊
Daisies are my personal favorite. They always have something nice to say and keep me confident.
