Soul Leaving Body While Asleep?

I've had a lot of supernatural experiences in my life. But my story today I'm focusing on what happens when I go to sleep.

As soon as I go to to sleep I dream, or I'm thinking, or something... I sometimes feel I'm in a different plane of existence and even when I wake up sometimes It's hard for me to return to my normal self. This is really hard to explain and probably hard for you to understand.

Every now and then, If I'm dreaming and I get suddenly woke up I feel myself falling back into my body. This is so weird because I feel myself fall back into the bed from the ceiling and it happens with such an impact the walls shake.

I believe my soul is leaving my body when I sleep. Is this normal? Or safe? What does anyone else think of this?.

I also dream every night and every dream has a meaning for my life. Either the event will happen or the dream will have a meaning that I will work out.

A few weeks ago I awoke and for five minutes I didn't know who I was, where I was or even what I was. I felt like I had just come from another planet or world or something. Then suddenly all my memories came back to me. This was actually very frightening.

I'm posting this today because I want to see what other people think, any similar experience or opinions? I want to know why it's happening.

Soul leaves the body when we are asleep. It is mentioned in the Quran.

"It is Allah Who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep. He keeps those (souls) for which He has ordained death and sends the rest for a term appointed. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply." (Quran 39:42)

And He, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning):

"It is He (Allah), Who takes your souls by night (when you are asleep), and has knowledge of all that you have done by day"[Quran 6:60].

Study Quran.

What do you mean by normal in my perspective everything is normal but we created unnormal for our fears what we don't want to know or see but anyways its called as trial projection and all it is is when your spiritual form leaves your body (physical form)

Well I hope its normal... Because it was really scary and my first time... I have suffered from lower back injury since about 2 yrs... My dad is an Ayurvedic doctor and neither of us are hardcore meditation devotees. He has also suffered from neck injury few months ago. In my dream I was asking him to help me as he was walking and telling me that his neck was cured but as I asked him he refused and told me to and go to this place myself... I replied saying I can't go there... He said yh you can you just to go in trance... I don't know what that meant but next thing I noticed is my whole self just slowly leaving through my back... I was not asleep neither was I awake... My body just felt lighter and my functions slowed as I lift out my body... As soon as something left me... I'm not sure either my soul or me just started pouring down tears and crying like a baby... My soul on the other hand flew around and couldn't go to the place maybe because I wasn't familiar with it or it was a fake place so it just flew around... I could feel both me in my bed and in air... Scary and amazing... Den as I my consciousness shifted to my physical body... My soul astral or whatever it was started coming back... On the way I had two memories... Group of White teenagers and one guy in his early 20s looked at smiled at me... Next thing I see was two decapitated heads and flies... And den I slowly felt my soul entering back into me and scared to death of the experience I just layed there for few minutes with my eyes closed and moved my hands to see if I was me... I thought about what happened for at least one hour... My eyes were heavy and I dozed off again... Similar thing started happening... And I jerkily got up as it tried to leave again... I'm so scared... And amazed of the flight experience... This is my first time... I'm an Asian (Indian)... Maybe I was a White male in my past life and I died along side someone or I got killed... I got no idea... However I feel like a new self since the experience... Curious to sleep again.

I do agree with D'mint, it does seem to be normal to leave the body when you sleep. Many spiritualists believe that that's what we do when we sleep, and that we travel to other, higher level planes of existence. As far as the meaningful dreams go, it could be a being of higher consciousness (your spirit guide maybe?) who is trying to teach you as you sleep. Concerning the temporary amnesia, it's possible that your soul entered your body unexpectedly in some way that time, or there could've been some reason behind it. It sounds like you could be a starseed individual and just now waking up to that truth. When it comes to truly knowing and understanding what it is though, your own best source of understanding is you, Research starseeds and see if it adds up. And know that everything happens for a reason, even if the reason isn't clear at the moment.

Hi gemlou3

I feel that it's normal and safe when our etheric body, spirit or mind separates from the physical body to tap into higher frequencies. Example of one of my recent experiences: I found myself struggling to move while at the same time I am aware of being in two places, 'dual-consciousness' my physical body on bed and etheric/astral body, floating close by. This feeling accompanies an absolute knowing at the precise second when attention shifts in half "conscious and unconscious" inducing a heightened sense of awareness a state of high attention."
