Paralysis And Spirits

I'm going to start this with saying that I suffer from sleep paralysis. It usually happens to me about 2 or 3 times a month when I'm laying in bed and I become fully paralyzed to where I can only move my eyes. I have read that people with sleep paralysis usually wake up feeling paralyzed but for me its different. I have never actually woken up paralyzed. For me, the paralysis starts when I am laying in bed fully awake. I have never opened my eyes while I was paralyzed because I was always afraid of what I would see, but the other night was the first time I opened my eyes and what I saw really scared me.

It started out as I was laying in bed and I suddenly lost my ability to move. I wasn't scared at first because like I said, this happenes to me a lot. While I was laying there unable to move I started hearing things that sounded like low toned talking and I even heard my name a few times. That was when I decided to open my eyes.

When I first opened them I saw a black shadow standing at the other side of my room. I panicked and tried to move, but I couldn't move at all. The shadow then started moving closer to me and as it got closer I lost my ability to breath. I was laying there, not able to move or breath as this thing was getting closer. Then I finally started to be able to move my fingers and once I started moving, everything went away. The shadow, the noises I was hearing, and my loss of breath all vanished.

I should also mention that I was told once that I am being followed by a spirit. I am the only one in my house that this spirit is following. Out of the 7 people that live in my house it doesn't mess with anyone else. Unfortunatly though I have never actualy found out why this spirit is following me. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. This incident was the first time that I was actually frightened by it.

I should probably also mention that I am an empath, if that may be of any help.

Thank You. =)

This has only happened to me once, I was
In bed and I had drifted off to sleep but woke
Suddenly, my eyes opened but I couldn't move and
Breathing was very difficult, I was so scared
I tried to reach out to my husband to grab his leg
But I could I even tried screaming his
Name but no sound came out.
It was horrible and then I was able to move my
Fingers then my body and I could breathe
I didn't want to go to sleep that night I was too
Scared, and I didn't want to wake my husband
I didn't know what to say I thought
It sounded stupid not realising so many
People have had the same experience!

There's a consistent argument as to whether the 'watchers on the threshold' (the dark shadows that appear with the onset of sleep paralysis) are good or evil. I've personally experienced them being scary, neutral, or even helpful. There is a theory that they will show up when you're at the edge of having an OOBE and they do so, literally, the 'scare you back into your skin' as opposed to the other way around.

Regardless, I personally have never have an experience where they can injure me. They can talk a good game, but ultimately do nothing harmful unless you allow it.

i suffer from this as well. I get a lot of unwanted dreams and I know that they are giving me these dreams. One night I was curious to why these evil spirits want me, and I asked them and they said that "you have what it takes, you are what we want' I said 'what do I have that you want I have nothing" they said "you have a brain, a body, a heart, a life and we want that" and I said "you can't have that your stuck" so I fell asleep and then they left. I'm used to these evil spritis I don't let them get in the way of my life there just apart of the universe. Hope this helps. By the way try to close your chakras when meditating it helps it especially your third eye chakra.

Paralysis and spirits go hand in hand.

During sleep paralysis, your spiritual senses are usually heighten in that you are much more perceptive of spiritual beings.

I've suffered from sleep paralysis for a very long time. It can be very frightening and traumatic. I've also woken up terrified in the middle of the night and seen unwanted visitors in the room or floating above the bed.

I wish I could tell you an effective way to break the spell, but I haven't found one yet. Trying to move - a finger, toe, anything - sometimes helps. Trying to make a sound - moaning or speaking - doesn't really work for me either.

I do as much as I can to protect myself while I sleep, because I believe that we are more vulnerable in that state. 18 months ago my friend gave me a jade protection amulet in a bag of sage that I put under my pillow. The frequency of sleep paralysis and visitors has really decreased. I also burn sage around my bed and around the bedroom at least once a month to clear out negative energies. Burning sage only cleans the area for a little while, then you have to do it again.

I hope this helps!
