Spirit Guide Question

I have submitted a story (question) on here before, and had received wonderful responses from beautiful people! Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Anyway, I have started to embrace the fact (instead of hinder) the fact that I can see, hear, and feel spirits. Before I would run from it instead of listen to it. Another woman with psychic abilities that I know, pulled me aside and said that I should consider talking with and being protected by a spirit guide. I know that I already have 3 people around me who protect me, so that was not my concern; although extra protection and wisdom never hurt! I decided to learn more about spirit guides before jumping in. The problem is this: For the first time I decided to contact my spirit guide, and within less than 5 minutes I was successful. I thought, I would KNOW if this were a high spirit guide, and a good entity. Honestly, I am a believer of negatives energies--they STILL scare me above anything else (and I have seen, been touched, felt, and they have felt me sometimes TOO hard). The first question I asked was, "what is your name" and he told me right away to my surprise, DeMon (day - mah - on). He made me feel wonderful, gave me great advice, and I felt physical changes after speaking with him... My heart was beating slower, my breathing was slower, and this feeling of pure happiness has been with me ever since... My concern, and I didn't think about this until 5 hours AFTER I spoke with "him", that his name was DeMon. Now the weird thing is, although names aren't "that" important, he made a POINT to show me that it was spelled DeMon (with the capitals). My concern is the spelling - demon. That word just scares me. I do not know if I should refuse to talk to him based on his name? Or is this just my limited human Catholic knowledge speaking... Lol If it isn't from the "white light" I do not want anything to do with it. I do not know much about spirit guides to be honest, and I can say that I was conscious for half of it and the other half I was not. It almost felt like an out of body experience, and I have only had that happen one time in my whole life. While my out of body experience happened, I seen him in this dwelling that looked like a comforting house... He was tall and honestly did not look of this world... Like non human, but I was not scared. It felt like I was going back to an old friend. Doing this has, at the very least, helped me "FEEL" my soul, and feel the warmth in it... It made me feel good. After this experience, although I remember CERTAIN things the one thing I remember for sure is a concept I left with. "He" told me instead of letting my emotions lead me, trust my feelings. For instance, if I get mad at someone I love for spilling soda on my favorite outfit, before I allow my emotions to carry me to anger... Allow my feelings to remember why and that I love him/her under and over everything. As simplistic as it sounds, it was profound for me.
