Really Confused As To Which Type Of Experience This Was

I'd like to start this story by saying that I am Agnostic, I believe in God but not really religion, I felt as though this would be important as it made it even harder for me to grasp what was going on.

This happened about 2 years ago, I was at home with my brother, my girlfriend and one more friend of ours and suddenly my older brother asks if I heard this sound, I didn't for at least 5 minutes but when I did, it sounded like a low fan. I told him that I just heard this fan and from that moment I was able to read his thoughts, we were communicating with each other without any words and quite literally freaking out my girlfriend and our other friend. The thought it was some kind of hoax so he stood behind me and started mouthing off what I was saying to them for quite some time before we were told to stop because we were scaring them. He then turned to me and told me that everything is going to be over soon, something big is going to happen and we need to prepare, I tried to ask all of the questions I was thinking and the answer I was being given to them all was that we are all connected.

I was told we are all one and we were all connected and I would soon see and I have no idea how to interpret what happened, that was the 1st and last time anything of that nature has ever happened to me and I have no idea what to make of it. Thank you for reading any feedback is grateful

that sounds like a possibility, but what does it all mean? Lol I feel I shouldn't have given the shortened version of that story but I did hit all the key points.

I know this will sound really "out there" for most of you. "Open Minds" would be a good mantra. Have you ever read any of Terence McKenna's books? He was big into hallucinogens and shamanism starting in the late 60's. In fact he and his brother became some of the foremost authorities on DMT and Psilobins (magic mushrooms). Now DMT is naturally occurring in the human brain in small amounts. Please note that in no way am I suggesting or insinuating that you and your brother were under the influence of any drug! Back to my point,... In the 1970's McKenna and his brother and a few friends were in the Amazon for some months. They were all experimenting with these mushrooms but Terence was convinced that he was seeing through this world into what he called hyperdimentional space. There was a period of 3weeks where he and his brother were communicating telepathically. By this time his brother was no longer using the stuff but the communication continued whether or not Terence had done any mushrooms or not that day. Later he wrote about these strange states. He said it was preceded by the sound of cellophane tearing and then an audible hum. He also said that he believed that in some shamanic family lines they had more active receptor sites in their brains for this DMT.? I don't know but your experience reminded me of this. Just throwing it out there. 😉

Thank you for the feedback. I have no idea when soon is or what it meant, there were no deaths that I can remember or that was very close or even a few years before this happened. It was even more strange that it didn't happen to anyone else there, just the 2 of us, which made me feel it was some kind of bond, but then we aren't even that close. I have tried many times since to "speak" with my brother through my mind and it has not worked since.

It was probably a premonition. You know something is going to happen. And probably will. If you check out the stories you will see lots of people feel something huge is going to happen.

mrbiggz992... The feeling of interconnectedness is usually associated with a near death experience. My spin on this is that either you both got caught in a person who just died "spill over" that was known to both of you or you got a glimpse of a future event possibly concerning a death.

That is a very unusual experience and I'd consider this a gift. Most people have to pursue a strong spiritual (and I didn't say religious here) path to have that kind of enlightened message/experience. It is a common concept by many eastern cultures that we are all part of the "One". This was "proven" to you by the fact that you two were as one for a short period of time. Most people go through a lifetime and not experience this.

Like a candle, where are the lines and edges of where it starts and ends? It radiates outwards and has no real edge. We feel solid and separate but we're all just vibrating mass meshed in with more vibrating mass. A drop in a huge ocean. If you were to travel to the higher planes you'd see that separation disappear. We're all tied together though most of what we're looking at appears invisible but it's not. Not surprising either is that your experience started with sound-- more vibrations and the basis for some theories on creation.

Anyway, I'd be curious as to what the "preparation" entailed. Soon is a relative term but I agree it's big and around the corner.
