So today I found two very old and mysterious books in the attic of my summer house. I found out that they belonged to my dad's sister. Those books are about psychics, spiritualism, ghosts, spirits and all those paranormal things. My dad told me that his sister (my aunt) was into these things. I have a feeling she was psychic. I never met her though because she died shortly after I was born. And I had this stupid little thought. What if I'm not the only psychic in my family? Or maybe there's an order of some sort. Like one dies so the other could live? I don't know I'm probably being stupid. As always. It's just that I don't know why I'm gifted. No one else in my family are gifted. Most of them don't even believe these things. So I have no one to talk about this. Not even my friends cause they will probably think I'm lying or say something like prove it or whatever. So anyway I'm planing to read those 2 books. One is called... Uhh I will translate it to English so I might sound a bit awkward. Well anyway one is called The knowledge of your own death hour (or something) and the other is The Big Poltergeist Laboratory of Berija (I believe Berija is a name) (I'm not sure these books are very very old.) Do you think I was destined to find these books? To learn more about my abilities, about my gifts?

Like Nahlire, I am in serious doubt about an "order of psychics", because guess what? EVERYONE is psychic! Of course, we are not all psychic to the same degree, but everyone gets "gut feelings", and experiences things that they label as coincidence.
People who have strong psychic ability do seem to run in familes sometimes, but then others also come from familes with little/no history of strong psychics.
In my opinion, our lives are determined part by fate, and part by choice. Some things are meant to happen, but, like finding the books, it is your choice now what to do with them. Go with your gut feeling.

We walk our own path in life and therefore it's not something that can be taken over by someone else.
Both me and my sister have some gifts and we are both alive. Furthermore we believe/quite certain that we inherited the possibility to tap ourselves to the psychic world since our father seemed to have some gifts as well. This was later told by our mother when we asked her (they got separated when I was very young) and he died about 4-5 years ago.
So it's higly likely that you inherited or it runs in your family since that is quite common.
As well as it can skip a generation or two.
You know, like evolution;)
