I'm not sure how many people have heard of this but it's really annoying me.
Basically whenever I hold anything like a pencil, a penny or even a piece of metal I can taste it.
It like right now I was holding my hair clasp and I could taste the sour metallic taste of the clip that goes into my hair.
There was also another experience were I was in class and I was holding a pencil and I could taste wood. I turned round to my friend and asked her if she could taste the things that she holds. (We are very close) She said yes but it turned out she was talking about when you say something say "peppers" you can smell it. So a totally different thing.
I could also taste the money I was holding I had to put it down.
And just two days ago I was wrapping things up in tin foil my mind was elsewhere, I was not thinking about the tin foil and this metallic taste came into my mouth. I snapped my mind back to the fact that I was holding tin foil.
And sometimes I'm not even thinking about what I'm holding and the taste of it comes into my mouth.
Sometimes when I'm holding jewelery it happens but it seems to be really bad with silver.
It once got so bad that I thought about wearing gloves.
I feel like a bit of a weirdo if you know what I mean. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone who has this but I have never heard of it before.
I can't even find anything on google about it.
I was just wondering if it's all in my mind or if there really is a gift where you can taste what you hold.
It does not happen every time I hold something. It only happens now and again but thank you for any replies =)
