It Happens When I Am Half Asleep

This first story happened about 6 or 7 years ago when me and my now ex-boyfriend first moved into our new apartment. It was the first night we were there. My boyfriend left to walk down the street to the gas station and I fell asleep on the floor. I remember feeling half-way asleep when I heard very loud pounding on the front door. Then I hear a loud voice yelling "Let him in, let him in!" At first I thought it was just a dream and it got louder and louder. So I jumped up ran to the door and flung it open. I was very surprised to see that no one was there. So instantly I felt extremely scared so I turned on all the lights in the apartment and waited on the couch for my boyfriend to come back. I was shaking and felt cold flashes through my body. The weirdest part of this was about a week later we found out that the old man who lived right next to us in the same apartment building had died and was dead for a few days.

One other time I was sleeping and felt someone running their hand across my forehead. It was comforting and I wasn't scared at all. This is something my grandma always did to help me fall asleep when I was little. About a week later sadly I found out she had also passed. We were VERY close so it was pretty devastating.

These two times were really the most intense incidences. I hear voices every now and then but that's it. All this stuff seems to happen when I am almost but not completely asleep. Do you think that the dream and the old man's death were associated? Was my grandma there with me before she passed, or was that also a coincidence? I would hope so but I don't know.

well it seems like everyone had most of this covered. Just wanted to tell you that when you are falling asleep you are crossing between worlds. When your asleep, the part of your brain that says these things aren't possible has also gone to sleep but your conscience is still there, experiencing these things that are now allowed to be seen 😆 Have a wonderful day!

My first apartment was like that. It's kind of like you have to adjust to the new energies in the area and all the new spooks. My favorite ghost was actually a ghost dog, a very sweet one that would slobber my hand if it was hanging off the edge of the bed and greet me at the door when I came home (I miss him, can you tell? 😜).

Maybe there is something about that place that the spirits come through more easily. Also I notice these things happen as you're falling asleep or waking up. It might be that you are more open to what is around you at that time when you are between asleep and awake, it seems that is pretty common. And I don't think the pounding or your g-ma were dreams. ❤

There is no such thing as coincidinces. Everything has a reason to be here.

In a way I have had an similar experince. The morning before my guinea pig died, she looked and was doing horribly. While in my seond period class, I wanted to see if I could feel if her presense was still here. I felt a void of emtiness but after a few seconds I felt loved.

There are things in the other "worlds" that cannot be fully explained on Earth yet, maybe never. This feeling could have meant that your grandmother was trying to contact you and, possibly, letting you know that she loves you and you don't have to worry about her.

Hope this helps you understand something.
