I am 48 years old and wish I had found a site like this years ago. I have been psychically aware since I was a child. Empathic, clairvoyant, telepathic, but never to an extent to make any kind of living from it. All the young ones out there that are confused, overwhelmed and asking for help are lucky for this site. We are a seeming minority, but there are people like us everywhere in the world, some just don't feed the ability.
Call us "Ones Who Know" and what we know we are born with, like cellular memory. Many of us are old souls that have returned since the beginning of human time on this Earth, but our enlightened awareness does not often make it easier for us to be "successful" in current terms of society. We are are too psychically sensitive and feel too much empathically from everything and everyone around us, that it can be very overwhelming and easy to become lost within a seeming unreality. Some people think we are crazy, and in a way we are, as our current environment does not support the skills we have--YET.
We are a glimpse of what we can evolve into as a human race. Our science is not there yet, but all the paranormal is just energy, an energy we shall understand better very soon. I don't exactly know when or how, but 2012 is about this. It very well may be extraterrestrial and not entirely friendly either. Be ready for anything, and I mean science fiction types of possibilities for our times. 2012 is like a quickening and it has already begun.
I read so many stories on this site from others like me, and especially concerned about the young people that are out there trying to navigate the psychic waters in a personal world that seems so different from most everyone around them. These teenagers and 20-somethings are our FUTURE and its so important they know what to do. Many people are afraid, but we must not be afraid, it feeds the negative energies out there that are tearing the fabric of human spirituality. It is Nature. It is Good vs. Evil and Light vs. Dark. God vs. Devil, It is all of that and also Science. Everything exists in duality, time would simply stop without opposition.
The best way to explain why some of us feel it and see it and some don't, this psychic awareness, is that we are meant to adapt to a different world, but the world has not changed yet, but it will shift soon, and you most likely can feel that as well. When seeking help, please be careful as there is darkness and tricksters out there. Always be careful who you tell, not because people will think you are crazy, but still the message needs to be spread and certain (Dark) people will muddle the message. Learn to be rather quiet with it, but use your instincts with people and learn how to test it first before spilling the beans completely.
I am way too sensitive to others feelings to go through life happily oblivious like most people. I constantly have visions that come true and some that don't, prediction is not an exact science, because as humans, we can manipulate every outcome at any given moment by simply changing our minds. This is why the business of predicting the future is not big business, what we see is possible futures, and often do see the one that prevails. 2012 predictions withstanding, but a shift is bigger than the just the roulette of possibilities, and still many outcomes are in play, which is why it is important to get the message out. Then it all comes down to Faith.
The best help I know for all of you floundering in doubts and confusion out there is to ask for it from the Light, be very specific about it and hope someone comes to give you some guidance, if only to let you know you are not alone or crazy. When this has happened for me, I never see them again, they are very fleeting acquaintances and total strangers at a party, in a bar or a concert--maybe they are angels. I've hoped for a mentor all these years, a teacher of sorts, but now as the years have gone by and the time for the change, the shift approaches, I realize I maybe I have to play that part now. This is a first step to that.
All I can do as evidence is tell a story. Whenever I'm most confused, overwhelmed, lost and ready to just give up, I always go back to the best reassurance ever given to me to boost me back up. It came by way of an Episcopalian priest with 2 Phd's, one in Theology and the other in Anthropology and who was very world-wise and well- traveled. It happened when I was 29 in Seattle. I had recently just graduated college in Louisiana and had moved to Seattle not knowing anyone there. I was very lost and depressed at the time and had asked psychically for help.
This priest singled me out of a crowd at a wedding, where the guests were nearly all strangers to me. He sat by me and asked my my name and why I was in so much pain, I could feel the wisdom and enlightenment in his eyes look clear through my soul. I told him I feared that I could not fit in anywhere. He told me I was not alone and not crazy and I was "One Who Knows" like himself. We talked about evolution and the human condition and paranormal experiences. He told me I must hold on to what I believe and never doubt no matter what, that all the psychic suffering and the apparent inability to "fit in" will teach me to survive when the world changes, and that the world will change when I have dreamed it will since I was a child, which will be when I am about 50 (coincidence? I think not). He said each of us are so necessary to spread the Light as we evolve to the next level. He said to have Faith. He did not preach Scripture to me, or say I needed to be "Saved" either as I asked about that. He said that believing in a higher power, even as simply as that power being Nature, was all that was necessary, for both sides, whether dark or light as everything exists in duality. It's how one uses it that is important and most people miss the point. Evolve or die as a human race, that's what 2012 is all about.
So please be cautious--some "Knowers" are dangerous, use your instincts as they are your best guide. The Darkness lurks around us and tries to use our Light energy for its chaotic ends. Don't mess with Ouija boards or the occult. Always be courageous with the darkness, always face it and make it retreat. If you run it chases you and your fear gives it strength. There are protection strategies, words to say when it threatens like Krishna, Ishtar, Vishnu. There are Native American words as well that I realize I need to restudy as I write this.
