I have observed many of the phenomenal experiences people have published on this website, and although my experience seems quite insignificant compared to the abilities of a lot of you other members, I have questions all the same.
For as long as I can remember, I've had this thing where I dream of something and then my dream ends up coming true. It was never anything exciting, or terrifying either, like who was going to win the Super Bowl, or the untimely loss of a loved one, but completely accurate nonetheless.
The example I remember most vividly was this:
In my dream, I was walking with my mother and little sister through a shopping center I'd never seen prior to this instance. I was teasing my sister about her skills at choosing gifts, because of the fact that she wanted to buy her friend socks as a souvenir. Then, as we walked by a store, I noticed the store window had an interesting design. It was a large white silhouette of a woman sitting cross-legged, with circled white numbers scattered about the silhouette. My mum said to me as we passed the store with the interesting window, "You'd better watch it or maybe she won't want to get you anything." After she said this, we walked into a bikini store.
Now, I always write down my dreams in as much detail as possible. So when I woke up, I quickly wrote this down, dated it, and then forgot about it.
A few months later, my family had traveled to another city and I was excited because, as a teenager, I love shopping, and I got to go to a mall I'd never been in before. Lo and behold, my dream played out that day.
I was teasing my sister, we walked by the window with that exact silhouette, and then after my mum said exactly what I'd seen that she would say, we walked into a bikini store! It didn't click at first that this was exactly what had happened in my dream, but I did feel that recognition and thought I should check my journal. When we got home, I ran for my dream journal, and there it was!
Another thing that happens a lot is that I can guess what people are about to say a lot of the time.
My sister was about four at the time, and she ran up to me one afternoon, and she seemed very excited. "Guess what Lauren!?" She had said. For some reason, not even really thinking it out, I said "You got a new bathing suit?"
I was surprised to find out that she had indeed just gotten a new bathing suit. Next she asked me to guess what it looked like, to which I quickly replied, "It's got flowers all over it, overlapping and stuff." I had gotten an image of it in my head, and she assumed I'd peeked at it and that's how I knew. When I later actually saw it, it was precisely the same bathing suit I'd imagined earlier in my head.
I have no idea if these are even abilities at all, or perhaps just coincidence. And if they are gifts, what are they called?
