Ooh!I can type this out, but not sure it'll be 'link'... (forgive my techno~ignorance) I mention this site again because tons of the folks there bring their own knowledge as well as have resources there to click on for getting info on gobs of things~aura's,visions, 11:11, precognition, mediumship, reiki,ascension,etc...whilst keeping 'grounded' (very important). I love the combo of here (this site), LW (the site I mention) and myspace. Along with online searching, I find all these sites work well for me to keep in touch with folks with interests and aspirations like my own!

hey can someone link me to a place where I can learn how to see auras? I can already feel people when they're near, but I want to literally see their energy. I'm not sure why but it's something that interests me very much. I guess it's because I'm very empathetic. I can already make others around me feel my own aura too. Again, this is new to me.

You absolutely have free will to improve your abilities. You've grown up in a society that has suppressed that but you're free at anytime to break through the veil of ignorance and start living outside the box.
Yes, your third eye is open to a certain degree but there is more you can do to enhance it. I work on mine all the time. I use amethyst, citrine, clear and smoky quarts crystals for one but there is a lot more you can do. Know that everything has a frequency and can resonate or bring into alignment things around them, including your third eye chakra. And when I say everything has a frequency, I include words and actions. Know that the action and thoughts of love are the highest and if you can live that, that alone will be more powerful than any crystal work.
Knowledge is power. Start researching chakras, how stones and crystals work, specific visualization you can do such as light work, the effects of drugs and alcohol which can inhibit this, etc. In my years of study I've read a few things not commonly shared on the internet. One is the second book by Drunvalo Melchizedek (Flower of Life, Part II). He shows a diagram where supposedly the real path down the chakra line does a diversion to the back of the head. If you go to a library you might be able to find that book there for free and then you can just flip towards the later section of the book. It's too hard to explain here, which is why he too used a diagram. In general, his books are good guidelines on how to do some pretty powerful stuff. You may just want to read his two books while you're at it. Students who have stuck with his Merkaba meditations have confirmed to become invisible to the naked eye at will. Can't beat that!
The other thing I read which I've only come across once was by a very gifted healer who is also very educated (worked for NASA no less). In Barbara Brennan's "Hands of Light" book she increased her third eye ability by doing a somewhat odd thing (something you'll want to do in private as you'll look silly) but she put her head back, opened her mouth wide, and did like a gargle or trilling of her voice box so it sounded like a gurgle or trill. This vibration resonates with the back part of the third eye chakra and stimulates it (note that every chakra has a "front and back". Over the years she's gotten so good that she can now not only see auras, but ALL 13 layers, beings in the etheric (and not while she'd meditating but fully awake) and some other really cool stuff like seeing past lives, all diseases present in the body, etc.
Maximize sleep. It's much easier to transcend time and space when your body is asleep. Start a journal. There isn't a master out there who doesn't recommend that. I keep telling my husband this but he's lazy and he doesn't have near the experiences I do.
You are not alone in your stepping up of your gifts and abilities. The energies are changing and more and more people are doing this. It is for a reason and I have no doubt you'll get to the point where you can help others. Remember to be patient and disciplined (and practice!). The rewards are very much worth it. We all have a starting point and we are all capable of miracles.
