Today I bought my first deck of tarot cards. Golden Tarot of Kat Black. It's a beautiful deck and it really speaks volumes to me. Each and every card has many layers of different truths that I can sense but can't put my finger on. Is anyone here a tarot practitioner who also is a psychic intuitive?
I've done some research on how the tarot works, but I am not sure how most psychics use their gifts to let the deck truly "speak". I am trying very hard to resist the temptation of reading the author's viewpoint of the meanings of the cards. It's difficult to put all my thoughts in order as well. Does anyone meditate using the cards? If so, how? I would really like to learn how to read the cards especially for a querant. Like any young and inexperienced psychic, I would really like hard evidence for myself (not for others/skeptics) that will assure me that I am not going insane and that I really do have the gift.
Also on another note, I hear a lot that the cards are best used in the presence of a spiritual guide. Or to create a "sacred" space whilst using the cards. How did you connect with your spirit guides? I have a power animal and he/she does a pretty good job of teaching me things. But is the power animal enough to really bring out meaning in the cards? Must I have multiple guides for this to work?
Sorry if this is all over the place, but all the questions posed here are very relevant to the subject: Tarot and its uses. My experience with tarot has been very limited and beforehand, I thought it taboo as with something akin to the Ouija board. However, now that a deck has truly "spoken" to me, I have a sense that I must learn this craft and use it for good as well as for my own psychic development.
Any and all sensible advice would be well appreciated. Thank you.
