Dreams Of Deceased Relatives

When I was 21 I was in Texas, and my family was in NC, which is where I am from. My friends had invited me to go out with them, I usually would have accepted and gone; but I had a bad feeling and decided to stay home. The next day I received a phone call from my mother, as soon as I anwsered I fell to the floor before she even said anything. My father had a blood vessels in his brain that had ruptured.

After my father had passed I had dreams of him. Two of them I still remember very clearly. The 1st was of a party for me, and he was there, and wearing a blue and white vertically striped shirt. I don't know if the colors have any meaning or not.

I also had a dream that I was at our family's beach house, we went there a lot when I was a child. I was standing outside on the driveway when my father pulled up in a white car with red interior. He got out and left the door open.

It has been years since I have dreamt of my father. I would love to see him in my dreams again.

I have no idea of the menaing of these dreams. If anyone does please let me know.

Also, I had a dream of my uncle who was brutally murdered. We were very close. He was also close to my children. I do not remember the dream, but one of my sons also dreamt about him that night. When I went into my childrens room the next morning, one of their toys that had never worked before was working.

I would appreciate any comments.

Two days before my freshman year of high school my grandfather died after having heart surgery. He and I were very close. I went to the hospital while they had him in a comma and I went up to him and took his hand and said " grandpa I'm here." Well to the amazement of my family he opened his eyes but they were rolled back in his head. He looked like he wanted to say something to me. After the visit my mother told me that was the first and last time he ever did that. It was either the night he died or a few nights after that I had this dream that he was in. He, my father, and myself were all dressed in white sitting in a white room on comfy white chairs. I don't recall what were were talking about. I went and told my dad about it and come to find out, he had the same dream. I didn't really have another dream of the type for a while but I always felt that he was around me. Then a few months ago I had this dream where he gave me instructions on where to find money and different things that he had tried to hide before he past on. He was a Navy vet from the 1940's and I am following in his foot steps. So for a while now, including last night, he has been coming to me in my dreams telling me that I'll get in to keep working on it. I would almost say that these dreams are just a way for me to keep myself motivated, but they are too real. I usually wake up shaking, not from being scared, but because it seems too real. I do enjoy these dreams because it is great to see loved ones again but it also, in my mind, proves that even if there isn't a heaven or whatever you might believe in, there sure is something that happens when you die.

hello everyone,

Can SOMEONE please help me to understand if I am going crazy or not? My grandfather passed away in 1999 and in the beginning I would have dreams of him just staring at me as if seeing how I would react to seeing him. I never went to the funeral because I did not want to see him like that. During the course of time I would dream about him and have communications with him in which when I woke up I can remember it detail for detail like I was really there. For the past 3 years he has been coming to me communicating and sometimes seems like he's trying to jump into my body to communicate through me. And the whole contact thing seems to be picking up majorly. In my dreams I can sense him being really close to me before he visibly shows. It sometimes feel like I am having an asthma attack just before he shows. I have read articles about this matter but I honestly want to speak with someone is has major experience in this to let me know if I am going crazy or not? I have been told in dreams but someone other than my grandfather (female voice I do not recognize) that I am surrounded by 5 ghosts. Am I having some sort of psychic experience that I can only get into dreams or am I missing my grandfather that much that my mind is still grieving? I've also had dreams about his closed coffin and the color of it yet I never attended the funeral or any of the gatherings to get ready for the funeral. My mother stated that the coffin was a navy blue color in which I had dreamt of it being that color.

How do I get my grandfather to communicate more? Do the deceased bring you into dream states or do we, the living, bring them? I really just want to fully understand this. Please help.

Thank you lizzydizzyv1. I will read sylvia browns book the other side.

Princess_Safari,in the 1st dream of my father, we did not speak to each other. I was watching a party for me from a distance and I saw him mostly standing behind my chair... It was like he was watching over me... Maybe that is what he was tying to tell me. I do not remember conversation in the 2nd dream either. But I remember every other detail.

wow, that's really cool! I'm not sure what some of the dreams mean though. A time when a deceased relative contacted me was actually on the day they died.

My cat Tiki who was like a daughter to me was going to the vet around 9-10 am. She had a tumor in her stomach and I knew that they might have to put her down.

In my math class (around 9-10 am) I was taking a quiz when all of a sudden Tiki popped into my head. Just the word, Tiki. I stopped writing when I felt something brush up against my leg. Then I felt cold all over. After the bell rang a few minutes later I was fine.
Later that day I found out that they put Tiki down.
The brushing on my leg felt like something that Tiki used to do all the time.

I now realize that she was saying goodbye to me.

My younger brother when he was a baby or just about 4 or 5 (he is now 8) he had a dream where he saw two strangers standing at the foot of the bed. A man and a woman, he said both were elderly. My mom could only think of two people, my desceased great-grandmother (that I happen to look like) and a great-grandfather. Like Alw said its a blessing 😁

I've also had a couple of visits from deceased loved ones via dreams, and I still consider it such a blessing. When my grandfather passed on (it's been over 10 years ago now), I felt a lot of guilt that our last visit hadn't gone as well as I'd hoped. Soon after he died, I had a very vivid dream that he entered a room that I was in. He looked at least 20 years younger and healthy (he had advanced emphesyma when he died), and he let me know that everything was all right and that I had no need to feel guilty. It's definitely not scientific proof of visitation from "the other side," but in my heart I know that it was really him and I'm so grateful that he could come to visit me. So I would view these dreams as a blessing. If you would like to see your father or another loved one again, try thinking of them before you go to sleep.

deceased family members often come to you in dreams to tell you that they are ok or they may just want to contact you. 😁
