One night about three years ago I woke up to the sound of an orange tabby cat meowing. He was upset because I'd closed and locked my bedroom door. I went to the door and opened it.
In the short hallway directly outside my room were three "spirits". They were transparent. One was halfway in the wall. I felt like they were "in transition" of some sort.
I turned and started through my living room. It was also full of spirits, but these were more solid than the ones in the hallway. There were also two or three orange tabbies walking around. As I walked through the living room an elderly lady walked up to me and grabbed my hand. She didn't speak, but I could hear her in my mind saying, "You can see us!" Her hand was warm.
I continued through to the kitchen where there were at least three more of the solid spirits. One was pacing back and forth from the kitchen to the laundry room. One was standing by the stove, and another was propped up against the kitchen sink. The one by the stove came over to me and told me his name. (I can't remember it now.)
I decided that I was just going to ignore all this craziness in my house and pretend it wasn't happening and just get ready for work. I started making coffee, but I kept messing it up. It just wasn't going like it should.
Then I woke up. (I didn't have a cat, either, by the way.) I didn't sleep the rest of the night. I was terrified that if I did go back to sleep they'd come back. The spirits themselves weren't frightening at all, but the experience certainly was.
I told several of my "awake" friends about the experience and asked them what they thought it meant. The best explanation I got was that spirits are attracted to me like a moth to a light bulb. I still didn't understand how that applied to my life at that time. Recently I had an experience that made me realize what this dream meant.
One day a couple of weeks ago I was led to draw a picture of someone. (I've been drawing my whole life.) I receive a few words and phrases to go with the drawing, and I knew who was supposed to see it. I thought it was someone who had passed. When I showed it to the person, she told me that it was her father. She verified all the information I had received about him, too. But he was still living. 🤷🏻♀️
I decided to practice these drawings with acquaintances. I drew two portraits for people which turned out to be loved ones who had passed. The messages and information I got about them were spot on. The next two drawings seemed scrambled - like they were two different people mixed together, and they were people who were still living.
I guess I'm just asking if anyone else has had a similar experience, and I'm confused what the purpose of the portraits of the living is, and why they might be mixed together. I wonder if maybe I need to work on raising my vibration for better results.
Thanks in advance for any input!
