Help Me Explain My 'coincidences'

Many things in the last few months have been brought to my attention that make me wonder if I have some sort of gift of intuition. I wonder why coincidences keep popping up in my life that I can't ignore.

For instance, I started dating a guy that I met through a friend. Although he was a bit older than me, we clicked right away. Then the 'coincidences' started happening. I found out that my mother knew his father and did some babysitting for them when she was in high school. Doesn't sound like much but my mother moved to another state 30 years ago. Also, we learned that his grandmother and mother grew up in a house 1 mile from where I grew up (in the other state) and I passed it almost every day of my life. Another odd connection in our scenario: we were discussing my sister's upcoming nuptials, which were to take place on an exotic island, only to discover that this is the place his mother lived for 15 years to teach in their school. How can all these coincidences come to 2 people in such a short time? They all seem to involve his (deceased) mother. What does it mean? I am so confused by it.

All these new enlightenments have got me to thinking, have I had other experiences that should make me think twice? I once predicted that a friend was pregnant before she even knew. My sister and I argued enough one night to keep her out of the passenger seat of my car which was smashed in in an accident that night. I can always tell if someone is keeping something from me. People tend to come to me for advice.

One of my most recent realizations was a vivid dream. I was walking up and down sets of stairs (with ease) to get to different locations. I later learned that that signifies moving up and down through changes in your life. To become a better person, you must be willing to go forward and still take a step back once in a while. Shortly after this, the guy in my story said he felt he was keeping me from growing into what I could become and he called us off.

So what do you think? Am I just letting my brain overthink as usual or could there be something to all this? I am very excited to hear your responses! Please tell me I'm not crazy!:-)
