Just a bit ago I was watching a documentary online about a 17 year old boy from Minneapolis who had terminal cancer. (His name is Zach Sobiech if you feel like looking it up) This story was truly inspiring and beautiful, and it definitely made me cry. A couple minutes after I had watched it I was sitting in the living room with my almost 2 year old daughter when I saw this light in my left peripherals. I thought it was maybe a light reflecting from outside, but when I went to look at it, it slowly moved to the left side of my shoulder then disappeared. The only way I could describe this was it was very similar to a silver ribbon that was spiraling. I wasn't scared, just really confused as to what just happened. I sat there for about 5 minutes just trying to collect what I had just experienced, then decided to call my mom and explain to her (because she's the only person who wouldn't think I'm crazy). I couldn't stop crying. She said she thinks I may have connected with this boy.
I've had bizarre things happen often, but nothing like that. About 4 months ago I had the most clear dream I've ever had. (My dreams are ALWAYS hazy so this was kind of a big deal) I dreamt that I saw my grandpa and grandma (who are both on the other side), and I gave my grandpa a hug and I could smell my grandmother's perfume. There was no speaking, just this feeling that everything was perfect, and when I woke up I couldn't stop crying. That dream made me feel as if they were visiting me telling me that I'm on the right path and to not worry.
Can someone please tell me what just happened? More specifically with the silver ribbon?
I am postive that what you saw was a spirit and probably the spirit of Zach. He may have visited you to say thank you for crying for him. Spirits can take the shape of a twirling ribbon like figure and are always glowing white but there are times when they have a different glowing color. I hope this answers your questions.
