Well I can understand what you are going through, the thing to remember is this is a "gift" not a curse. Yeah it's going to be scary to deal with at times but you can control it by giving your spirits limitations. For instance you can tell them out loud that you really need to get some sleep and it's not the time to interact at the moment to try again at a better time. Just make sure you mentally prepare yourself and keep out negitive energies so that way they do not try to interact with you as well. I am still trying to deal with it myself and should practice what I preach. But I hope that helps you out a bit.
