Was This Entity Trying To Hurt Me Or Tell Me Something?

My name is Melissa. I have been psychic/empath since birth. I have always been aware of my abilities. I saw spirits after they had passed as a child. I stopped seeing them around the age of 6. As an adult I have been able to see orbs. Normally when I see a black orb the following day someone I know passes away. Long story short I went through a divorce and moved back to my small hometown. Since my return all of my abilities seem to be a lot more intense and I have even developed new gifts. I have a friend that was feeling uncomfortable in her home. I could not make it to her house the day. So I told her to place bay leaves around her home and under her pillow. So it could help her sleep a little better until I could get over there and do a cleansing. She told me that it did help her and make her feel a lot better. I am over there yesterday and I didn't have my sage with me nor did she have any. So I verbally told anything that was there with any malicious intent was not allowed there and must leave. She did have some sea salt so I used that around her home as we were doing this. Upstairs I noticed an attic entrance that had been sealed from paint. There was something telling me there was something or someone up there. I told her that when I came back to do the actual cleaning we would have to be able to get in there so the entire house could be cleansed. So three days ago I saw three black orbs around me off and on all night. The next day I got the call that a very close friend of my family had passed away. So this is where my situation becomes questionable for me and I could use some guidance and clarity. Last night in, some kind of powerful force and heaviness was on me as I laid there on my back. This entity was so powerful, it felt as though my entire body and even my voice were subdued. I could not move, I was trying to scream for my mother but, I could barely get out a whisper. I felt it holding me down with so much force my muscles were so tired from trying be able to free myself. My mother said she heard strange noises so she came looking. When she entered the room I was in the force lifted and finally I could move and speak! I came flying out of that bed so scared! I went and got my son off the couch and carried him in my mother's room to sleep. When I woke up this morning I still felt uneasy. I found my cell in that room and it was completely dead it wouldn't even turn on. So I get it charged and I had a message from Pam, reading "Please call me A.S.A.P!" She told me that she heard a door open and foot steps upstairs in her house last night. She said she was scared and it took her forever to fall asleep. She told me that around 3 a.m. She had a dream she could not remember but, she woke up screaming please don't hurt her! At this point she has no idea what happened to me, but what's crazy is it was 3:01 a.m. When I ran out to grab my son. So I we were talking and then she told me she had her husband open that attic entrance last night. So here are my questions: Was it my friend that passed away trying to contact me? Or did something follow me home from Pam's? Did it have good or bad intentions? I am still very shaken, like I said I have never had something like this happen to me before. I felt as though it was trying to harm me, but I don't know if I felt that way just because I was so scared.
