When I was younger (8-9 about), I saw strange, shadows floating everywhere. My house, my room, the streets, they popped up anywhere! I ignored it, as I figured I was just seeing silly eye-floaters. I mean-if I had told my family at that time, I was certain they would think I'm crazy or mental. So I grew up, and forgot about them, as I didn't want to dwell on them anymore. Seemed like rubbish to me, in my opinion when I was young.
They didn't bother or show themselves anymore.
Last year (2011), Thanksgiving, to be exact, I saw a clear view of one. My family was eating, laughing and joking around. My eyes wandered to a window, and behind the window there is several white pillars, as they support the house.
I kept my eyes firmly there, and just as they started to gaze back at my family, I saw a black, hooded figure passing through the pillar like the pillar was made of fog or clouds.
It had a night-black robe on, and no human-features. Actually, no features at all. The face was a silvery-metallic color, no eyes, mouth, or anything. It came and went immediately.
I frowned, unsure now if this was something or not.
Later, a few weeks after that, I had the courage to investigate. I dug around a bit on the internet and saw what some people called, 'Shadow People'.
Instead of just seeing that one, I now see numerous ones every day. They come in different shapes. Some come as hooded black figures (those are the rarest ones to see though),white, wispy smoke, or black vapor, or, you know how when you stand against a wall and let you shadow cast on it? Like that, except there is no person in the room.
I took a risk, and told my sister. Eventually, I told my father and mother a few weeks after that.
My dad is fascinated by these kinds of things, so he was interested.
My mom, though, isn't as much. She was raised as a deeply-religious woman, so she was hesitant at first, but she believes me.
My dog often comes into my room, and stares at a wall or space blankly. Soon enough I see the shadow-thing and I know what he's staring at.
They definitely can't be evil, they can go through my grandparents houses (who are also deeply religious) easily. Nothing blocks them or anything. I get kind of weird, and whenever I see them around, I step around them, as I find it they get kind of annoyed when people step through them. When I do that, It's like they seem to accept me that I respect them and don't take them for granted now. I do get a few odd looks when people see me step around something, but I don't mind.
Thank you for reading my story, any guidance means lots.
