~A Brief History~
I've always had sleep paralysis off and on. I have trained with them in wake to lucid dreaming and learned how to wake myself, sometimes. They don't scare me anymore, I've accepted it as part of my dreaming life.
My dreams have increasingly featured shadow people. Sometimes I even get forcibly pushed out of dreams into wakefullness by them. I remember a dream where everything felt like artifice, as if opening a door to a building would reveal the cardboard cutout of a building and no substance. I wasn't lucid, but the whole dream had the feel of being staged, the conversations I had were awkward. I got a little nervous and decided to play the role and pretend like I didn't notice. As I was doing this, a group of shadow people began to gather and watch closely, as if they knew I was aware and faking it. This didn't go on long before one came up and literally pushed me out of my own dream.
Once falling asleep, arms came up out of the bed and pulled me into a dream. It wasn't scary, just surprising.
~The Dream and other events~
Last night I lay frozen but I was blinking, as I closed my eyes I saw my room full of shadow people, all but one left, that one stood over my body on my bed. My head was at an angle, I strained to turn to see it, but all I could see was a leg and body. I felt inferior to it, that it was well beyond what I can understand. But I was not terrified of it.
It talked to the other shadows, it sounded like nothing. I said "I can see you." It talked to me, it sounded like a voice manipulated recording. It said "The ones that can see us are lucky." I struggled more to see it, it said something else I don't remember and then "Go to sleep now," and called me by my name. I won my struggle to wake and got up out of bed.
I fully intended to stay up for a while, do something distracting, and try sleep a little later. Here is where things got VERY strange for me. I have NEVER had the problem I did last night with being awake. I got up, went to the living room to clear my head but it wouldn't clear. My limbs felt like lead and the same sensation of falling into paralysis was attacking me all over again except I was up and walking around. No matter what I couldn't force my eyes to remain open, and was literally nodding off on my feet.
I had to go back to bed immediately. As I fell asleep I once again had a paralysis episode, and the shadow person WAS STILL THERE, except now at the foot of my bed. I slept a dreamless sleep.
I am scared of the shadow people, I am curious about the shadow people. Everything I read says they are evil, but I do not sense that. Also, I want to know if anybody has talked to one?
