I'd like to know what's happening to me and why. Any help is awesome!
I started having "panic attacks" since I was a teen. I'm 27. I get all the same panic attack symptoms BUT something else happens too.
I get an intense deja vu. Actually the deja vu triggers it the panic attack. BUT I'm having more than normal deja vu.
I see something that isn't there. As if I'm seeing something that was supposed to happen or maybe I'm like in an alternate universe. Lol I don't know how to explain it. I'm not crazy.
I do notice a lot of the time that these deja vu/panic attack episodes I have dreamed of before. But they were dreams from years ago.
An example, complicated but very true, would be: I'm sitting down in front of my house and I'm smoking a cigarette. A few minutes later I get the deja vu/panic attack feeling. While that happens, as I watch the traffic I envision 3 different cars going in 3 different directions and suddenly a bad car crash. But the deja vu/panic attack is over after 30 seconds and I go back to smoking my cigarette because I didn't really see anything bad happen.
BUT THEN almost right after this happens I see the exact same cars going in the exact same directions and for a second I fear something bad will happen but nothing happens. They just pass by.
I used to have these "episodes" multiple times a day but as the years went by it became a rare occasion.
*sighs* that just reminded me of a woman I never met that approached me while I was working as a janitor in the college I went to years ago. In the middle of me sweeping the floor she just walked right up to me and asked me "you're a medium aren't you?" lol I laughed at her I was like "what?!" and she walked away. My first reaction was this bit** is crazy. I never saw her again. That was weird.
Anyway, is there anyone out there that has any idea why my panic attacks are triggered by deja vu? If that's even what this is.
