I'm going to struggle describing this one because I haven't inherited it but I'm very curious about it because my mom in particular is very good at it, so I'll tell you everything I know about the ability and a very short background!
None of my family practice anything (other than me, secretly) and I don't think we have any family line of witches or anything but this gift started with my grandad who is one of the youngest of 10 siblings although we don't know anything about his dad who was never there other than his name, so we just presume. No other siblings have any abilities and neither does his mother. My mom has this ability but her brother does not and both my grandad and mom developed this ability at a young age.
Basically what they describe it as is they can see places they have never been before, which they both can in very great detail and they can both talk their way throughout houses and other buildings, even saying if there is a teddy bear on the stairs, colours of the walls, paintings. These are huge distances in seconds. We have relatives in Australia and mon pictured the newly built house of her cousin before we saw any pictures and her description matched every detail.
The thing is, she has to speak to someone that has been to that place or seen it for themselves to be able to see it and you don't really have to picture it in your head at all. The thing that set off a few light bulbs was that she mentioned that the first time she showed my dad, she visited the house of his nan and she had not been to the house nor met his nan yet from this could see him sitting on a mat staring up at his nan as a young boy. This was a regular thing from his past, which confused me slightly. You can't be visiting a place if you're seeing it from in the past, surely?
So I tried a little experiment. I invited over my friend Danielle who made my mom picture the house of a friend which she did correctly. Next I put up some "barriers" (not physical ones, I was training myself to control my aura and flow of energy etc) and asked her to picture my 6th form block and she couldn't do it at all.
A few days later I had another idea (this is about me and I'll explain at the bottom), I showed my mom a place I saw in a vision I'd saw a few years back that had finally happened recently without me being there because I couldn't be* and I pictured that vision back into my head and she saw what I saw even though neither of us could never physically possibly be there.
So is this telepathy or something? Unless she can read the mind she can't visit the place which she can then freely walk around in but she can't read thoughts? Confusion all round!
* The part I mentioned with me and my vision is a very long complicated story. Basically with most of my visions they're completely irrelevant like conversations, actions, small events. Nothing huge. But in some visions and I don't know how to explain this I'm not in my body. The first time I really became aware of it was I saw everything I had for Christmas 2 years previous and I was watching myself and everyone else, whilst walking around the room. When that Christmas came there was no extra person that I could've been seeing through or something and everything went exactly as I saw it, not a detail wrong. Then things started to go odd and I'd have more extreme visions (not related to my entity post) where I'd literally be in the middle of disasters in the death zone and these are countries I've never been to or planned to go to let alone ever seen in my life and I'll be standing in these spots and I can be watching these horrible things happen around me unaffected physically but if I touched something I'd feel the heat, how sharp it was, everything. This could be years to months before and the dreams reoccur every night in different locations or in more detail about a week to two weeks before the event happens. It's not all events luckily and they aren't all major, but at one point I learn to train myself to manipulate the dreams because I wanted to see if I could find out dates but so far I've only been able to "warp" to different death zones pretty much against will whenever I try to walk a certain distance away and I can slow the events down slightly and move around but I can't empower myself in any way and it's really hard to slow them down even a bit temporarily but at one point I did master it, haven't done it for a while. It's not something I like to talk about so I'd rather not have any comments on my part unless anyone can explain how I end up out of body in some visions. I'm willing to answer questions on it but no negatives and focus on mom and grandad, thank you!
