I mentioned in a previous post-in a comment to one of my posts, actually- that I've seem to have developed this ability to see things in the air. They're like little transparent worms or snakes, wriggling and writhing and shimmering through the air in a giant mass that seems to take up all of the pace in the air, and they're all over! I've only been able to see them when I stare into space and just let myself relax and not actually look for them. I kind of do the same thing when I search the ground for ants in the summer, because I hate to step on them. I sort of just stare at the ground and allow myself to see all of it at once and I can see all of the ants in a certain area at once, as a whole. I've always been able to use it as way not to step on them. I'm a bit nervous to tell my family about any of this, because they scoff at such things and I know they wouldn't believe me. Plus, I have ADD, so they all automatically assume I'm always unfocused, scattered-brained, and air-headed and they'd think I was making it up. It doesn't help that when I was younger, I was a perpetual teller of tall tales. Anything that could be embellished was embellished. They still aren't quick to believe me.
It's a little unnerving, but it feels natural, so I've never questioned it. I only once asked someone else- my brother, to be exact- if he saw the same thing, but he looked at me like I was nuts and walked away. Thankfully he forgot it before he could tell anyone, or I'd have a lot of explaining to do. Am I weird or am I crazy? What could it be that I'm experiencing?
Just to clear up misunderstandings.
