Haunted In South Louisiana

Hi, I'm also from south Louisiana. Although I'm only 14, I'm very interested in paranormal situations and stories. My aunt as a gift. She's able to sense and feel spirits in different places and in some houses that shes lived in. About a year ago I was with her at that same house we somehow got on the subject about ghosts and paranormal expriences. After I had said something she told me that I also had a gift to sense spirits and that it was a gift from God. I wanted to break down and cry because long before that day I thought that I had a special gift also, but I was afraid to tell anyone or say anything about it. I told her that I agreed and she told me not to try to go to far with it because it may allow bad spirits to come to me, so I am very cautious when it comes down to it all. This past year my family went to a haunted plantation home here in Louisiana. When we were there there were these two Native American people and when I saw them I was some how drawn to them. Later that night when we were waiting to go on another tour my mom had went up to a man and asked if he knew what time the tour started because she had forgot. Well it just so happened that that same man was those two native american people's son. They had just walked up and I could tell that the women was just staring at me and I was staring back after a while, she kind've whispered to me "you can see/sense more than they can." I sort of nodded and said "oh yes." then she told my mom. I had told my mom about the aunt situation before that and she had believed but my dad didn't so when the woman told her she said oh really you're the 2nd person to tell her this. The lady then said that I have a purple aura. And that the purple is a good color to have as an aura. She also told me that I have a gift from God... I can just feel like someones watching me sometimes or I feel that someones behind me. Not in my house but other places. I just get eerie feelings in certain places And I could just look at a house and tell that its haunted and when I ask the owner they say it is so I get excited because I'm able to pick up things like that. So, snowwhyte79, I was just wondering if you think I also have a gift from what you've read. 😆

Oh dear! First off, I'd try watching your son as he sleeps. Make sure he doesn't have any nervous habits of scratching or biting himself, just to rule that out. I bruise like a peach, so he may too, its possible he's just bumping himself to get the bruises. Watch him though, so the CPS doesn't think there's something wrong in the home! 😢

BUT, I would still do a cleansing of the house. There is another user on here named RookDygin and I really like his cleansing suggestion. I hope he doesn't mind that I paste it to you here:

"Recipe for a Home Cleansing/Shielding... (allow for two or 3 days to complete)

Day one: Open all curtains window and doors with screens installed, let fresh air and sunshine into the home. Have all closets, cabinets and other 'dark spaces' open so that as much natural light as possible can enter those spaces. After 2-3 hours take a broom and 'sweep' out each room (this is symbolic and you do not have to really sweep) focus your thoughts on sweeping (pushing) out all negative energies / entities /thoughts. Close home up after completing each room of your home... Please do not forget your garage if you have one. (Optional) Light incense (sandalwood or Dragons-blood works well for me) and let aroma fill the home, and/or play a tape that contains your favorite Church songs before you begin sweeping.

Day two (or three): Once again open all curtains, windows and doors. Take a White candle (Optional) to the center most point of the home, sit on the floor and place candle in front of you. Light the candle (visualize a white ball of light) and then focus on the flame... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

I think this is an excellent idea. If you think there is a negative spirit (and if its hurting your son, its definitely negative) you want to get it out!

Thank you everyone for the comments they really are appreciated. It's nice to be able to open up freely and not be scared of someone calling you crazy or anything else. My son has had a lot of experiences. It started when he was just a baby. He'd watch something in the corners wherever we were at. He'd always look behind me when I held him like he was looking at someone else. He was 2 when I overheard him talking to someone else in his room and when I walked in I saw him sitting in the middle of the floor and looking directly in front of him and talking to the air. But now I know it wasn't just air. Also last year we were visiting with my in laws and he was standing at the front door just staring across the street at the two story abandoned home. I walked up behind him and he looked up at me and smiled and said "Mommy the lady is smiling at me. She's nice." I looked out and said, "Sweetie I don't see anyone outside." He said, "No Mommy, she's in the white house in the window." Well, that shook me up. Because he was only 3 and didn't know the story behind that house. There was an old lady that lived in that house for many years and she died in her bedroom. There were a few different rumors about how one said that she was killed by her husband the other was that it was the brother that she allowed to stay with her. It was so many years ago though no one living today really knows which is true. The house is owned by their family but no one lives there. Her great grandson goes over there once a month and does the upkeep and everything. Well, the window he was pointing at was her bedroom. But yeah, the child that has been following me I know it has and I don't feel threatened by him. I think he thinks I'm his mother or he may be looking for her. If so then I wonder how I could help him. He's always calling out Mommy. It's the other one that is following me that makes me on edge. I don't know what it is but it is overwhelming and that's the one that I think is putting marks on my son. Everytime we are living on our own these fingerprint-like bruises show up on my son's legs. And my husband and I are worried about that. There have even been times when he's had scratches and bites show up. I haven't told my best friend Jon (the medium) about it yet he's been dealing with a lot and had been living in another state before he moved back down here last year. Any advice on how I should handle these marks showing up on my son would be greatly appreciated. And any ideas on why this may be happening to him.

Id say your definately a medium, and also most mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums,
As human beings we don't actually realise how many spirits are around us. Its just we normally don't take the time to connect with them. If you do have a child or spirit around you talk to it like you would talk to anyone else 9 times out of 10 they just want the acknowlegement that someone has heard them. And if you can connect with this child sit quitely and ask if there is some thing it wants, also try not to fear him as I'm sure he means no harm. If you need send me a email and I'm happy to help out with any questions about spirit that you may have.

Perhaps the child needs to just speak to you? If it's been following you from place to place, must be rather urgent that it does. I have about 8 who follow me.

children are actually more likely to see spirits than we are, children also are stronger empaths and mediums because they haven't "set" their beliefs yet. Your son may in fact be stronger than you are. Small children are way more likely to have experiences, though they may not remember them later in life.

Thank you for commenting the_k. I think it may be more medium too because mediums are the ones who are able to communicate with spirits. It can be quite scary at times. But I have also had things happen not spirit related like dreams coming true after I have them. And just knowing where something is that someone is looking for when I have never seen it before. It's very strange. And now I think my 4 year old son may be like me. Is it possible for a child that young to already start having experiences?

it sounds more like medium as opposed to psychic, but you could be psychic.
