it started this morning... I tend to Oversleep a lot, I wake up and sleep again then this morning I slept and my dream was soo blurry, I can't see anything in it then I woke up and saw a black hand on my sight, I mean I can't move and I can't breath easily but the Black hand is stuck in my sight, I'm totally awake I can hear my mom scold me then I can move a little, it's like someones holding me tightly then the hand disappears when I finally can move my whole body, I mean like I escaped a grip from someone else. The hand was really black, I was totally awake that time. I mean I think I'm semi-paralyze because I am like escaping someones grip when I was trying to flip myself to another side, The black hand is traveling only at the edge of my sight then when I flipped myself the hand disappeared, I mean I was really awake I can hear my mom, almost anything even the TV... I feel nothing, its like just normal nothing special, but that experience was different!... Before it happened to me I have a very very blurry dream, I can't see anything so I can't say the details of it. But in that blurry Dream I saw someone with a Blank Clothing and I think it doesn't have a hair or it does I don't really know... What do you think I experienced?

I have a differing opinion (as do some others who have looked deeper into the phenomenon) - that they also transmit emotion as a form of communication, as well as to elicit a response. (ex. The presence of some Shadowmen have filled me with elation/joy/energy etc.)
The exhaustion can happen from a lack of practice in astral travel (obviously!:) )
... Or it could all be a dream...;)

I kind of feel no Fear, or anything... I just felt normal but exhausted and tired...
Anyway!:) It was likely what is referred to as a Shadowded Man (Shadowman, 'Hat Man', 'Watcher on the Threhold'... Depends on your school of thought') But that in and of itself doesn't say much either.
Basically it is the form of an astral 'someone'.:) Best quick answer. And as Anne pointed out, they can show up at the edge/beginning of a transition into an OOBE or/astral projection. The suspicion is they are attracted to the vibrations of the act, though why is anyone's guess.
And yep, you'd be able to hear waking stuff in the background. During some OOBE's I have heard things from my body and also from my astral body at 2 angles, and it can be disorienting if you're not ready for it. (same happens if you can travel with your physical eyes open with the 'visual' inputs.)
