Dreams, Cornfields And A Phone Call

This incident is probably one of the most interesting that has ever happened to my sister and I. Thinking about it still makes my eyes water and my jaw clench and pretty much blows my mind. My sister and I are very close and she is the only person who makes me feel any where near normal. I wanted to share this story with all of you guys.

About 7 years ago A childhood friend of mine and my sister's passed away. He came home from the military, something strange happened and he drove himself into the middle of a cornfield, stabbed himself in the heart and wasn't found for 3 weeks. The night that I found out I lit a red candle for him and was incredibly upset. I talked to my sister about it for awhile and then went to sleep. I am extremely paranoid about leaving candles burning as I sleep, so before I went to bed I blew the candle out. This is when weird stuff started happening.

I had a dream that night about him. In the dream I was in a park with some friends. The paths that we were walking were leveled out. I was on the top path which was the highest and there were 4 more paths below me... Kind of like a pyramid. All of the sudden I looked down and on the bottom path I saw my deceased friend. He look up at me, smiled really big and waved. I was so happy to see him and I kept calling his name but he kept walking the opposite way I was walking. Several people on the bottom path passed him going the other way but he didn't even acknowledge them. I tried to turn around to go after him but for some reason a force was making me go the opposite way. I got a mirror out of my pocket and lifted it up so as I walked I could see him walk away. I remember crying in the dream at the thought that I would never see him again when I couldn't see his reflection in the mirror anymore. I stopped in the middle of the path after he was gone and just stood there. All of the sudden a friend from H.S. Appeared and started talking to me. My reaction was "Dale what are you doing here?" and then I woke up.

I remember looking over at my alarm clock and seeing that it was 3:04 a.m...but next to my alarm clock was the candle... That I KNOW I blew out before bed... However it was fully lit. I got up and blew it out again... And of course turned on the light and couldn't sleep.

I called my sister later that day and told her about my dream. She was silent on the other end for about 30 seconds. She told me that last night she had friends over but everyone left around 1am. She stayed awake and later on noticed that there were headlights at the end of her mile long driveway. (she lived in a farm house surrounded by cornfields) She went down to see who it was. She said she looked at the clock before she went out and it said 3am. As she walked down there she saw who it was and walked up to the driver's side and said "Dale what are you doing here?" She then added more by saying when she woke up later that morning... She went to get the mail and noticed that someone had driven their car straight through the cornfield right in front of her house. (just like my friend did when he killed himself)

To this day the candle I lit for my friend that night refuses to lite.

My childhood friend died back in a car accident back in 2004, but before that year I had a dream of his accident. The reason I am writing to you is, a few years after he died I had a dream about walking along a dirt road in the dark with the moon high in the sky and there was a cornfield and a farm house. In my dream I was walking with my friend who died, and he said it was a mistake and that he never really died, that he was just as real and alive as I was. But when we were walking beside the cornfield, he stopped and stared at it with a sad look on his face. When I asked him what was wrong, he looked at me, smiled (it was one of those 'I'm sad, but I can't let it show' kind of smiles) and said "everything will be okay. There is no more pain." I woke up crying. My friend visited me in my dreams for a while but then stopped. This was my last dream I had of him and the only part that still gets me was why he stopped walking with me, stared out into the cornfield and felt sad but didn't want me to feel it either and then said, "everything will be okay. There is no more pain." If I may ask, what year did your friend die?
