Getting Used To Astral Travel

I posted a few months ago about my experiences, which ultimately told me that I was, in fact, astral traveling. It always scared me, but with the help of all of you who responded, I've let go of my fear and just "went" when my astral body wanted to. I've noticed that when I give myself "permission," that is, when I go to sleep and say to myself, "I'm going to travel tonight," it is easier to just go. There's really only one trip that I can fully remember, and it was beautiful. I was in space. It was cold and dark, but I was surrounded by stars, and there were some beautiful colors of deep, dark purple, green and blue. It was gorgeous. There was another one, and I can't remember it exactly, as in my dream, I was lying on top of my boyfriend's arm and clutching it quite tightly, as I was a little scared. When I returned/woke up, however, I was lying on my back, as was he, nowhere near each other.

Now, last night was a different story. My boyfriend is out of state for work, 1500 miles away, and I couldn't sleep, nor could he. He asked me to try to travel to him, but I didn't think I could because I was so exhausted. Here it was 4am and I had to be up at 7. Immediately upon getting into bed and closing my eyes, however, I saw a flash of light, which signals that I am going to travel. As the vibrations started, I felt something for the first time ever (and this started happening to me 10 years ago) - I actually felt my astral body sit up. Of course, this being the first time I've felt this, it startled me and I forced it back down. This happened several times until I then felt what I described in my last post - hands all over my lower body, pulling me. Now this is something that I really have a problem with. Someone responded that it was perhaps my spirit guides helping me to move out of my body, but it really scares me. A couple years ago I described this to a psychic friend of mine, who told me to NEVER let anything pull me like that. So I am confused! That one trip that I can recall was so beautiful, and I need reassurance that this pulling is okay, because I would like to enjoy my experiences.

One more thing while I'm on the subject. Frequently I will feel my bed vibrate. I'm fully awake, I live in the country nowhere near trains, and no real reason for it to vibrate. I also felt this when I lived in the city. Thank you all for reading.

I have heard a lot about astral travel and out of body experiences. I have some experience with these as well, but I have never had the feeling of hands pulling me or shaking. I haven't done either in a long time because I have a lot going on. I have had a couple problems during out of body experiences too, which is why I don't do that but very rarely. I've read a lot of the comments & stories here tonight and am thinking about experiencing these things again.

i'm glad you're raising this up because I want to try some astral projection but I have loads of questions. The first one is how do I get back into my body? Is it like an instantaneous thing or do you have to do something to go back? Secondly how can I prompt myself to let go and what should it feel like? I would appreciate the help from anyone who has had experience with astral projection, please. Thanks!

Yeah I suspect they were trying to help you out - though not necessarily to help you go visit the boyfriend (they wouldn't know that) but more to just help you come out so they could interact with you (hence the warning from your friend of 'don't let anything do that'). Not saying their intent was good or evil, just that their intent was to get you out.

Some people when they first eject start in what people call 'low astral' or the plane of memory (this is the getting up in your own bed part), and seems like that's what you did this time. There are denizens in the plane of memory and it's also where astral guides will hang out. So instead of skipping all that and going right to 'the beautiful stuff' you started out in a locale where you would have had to go a little leg-work (floating-work?) to get where you were headed. It could have been formed by your intention as you were intending to visit someone - so you started out as close to the physical plane as you can be in the astral.

In low astral its fairly normal to have to get up out of your own bed. Best move then is to keep your emotions and feelings light and on a high vibrational level, then look for a door or another form of a 'portal-way' (door, window, etc) that isn't normally in the house landscape. You can use those to transition out of the plane of memory into higher astral. Walking out the real front door would just put you outside of the house in low astral, normally. (I personally never do that anyway on the off-chance I'm sleepwalking. Nothing would be more embarrassing than waking up in the middle of the street in my nightclothes. Instead I pass through a windowpane slowly without opening it, because that you can't do when your sleeping without banging your head into it)

But mmm seems pretty 'normal';) as normal goes - like I said I suspect you just started in the plane of memory because as your intent was to visit the physical world, you started off in the plane with the closest vibration to it, so ran into the usual 'residents'

Hope this helps.

i think that the vibrations are your blood vessels are pumping blood and is making your bed shake.

I, too, am still kind of new to the astroplane... But I have figured out how I should leave my body... One thing is to sleep in a different bed... I have had this one experience that'll write later

Hi, I've gotten that too but I always end up waking up, it kind of startles me. A friend of mine went to an astral travel workshop and the teachers recommended the "pulling" as a last resort for people who were having trouble getting out. They would drop their hand over the edge of the bed, and their guides would come pull them out at night.

I gave up on astral travel and do meditation-travels instead, they're still pretty cool even though its not the same thing. On occasion I've even bumped into people I know, while they're astral traveling lol

Good luck!

Im new at astral travel as well I just recenctly allowed myself to astral travel twice. I have had the ability to do it before but I would get to scared to do it beacause it felt similiar to sleep paralysis so I would snap myslef back. Anyways back to my point, about to months ago somthing similar happened I had woken up in my astral body and I looked around and noticed that I was in the astral world my cuzin was laying rite next to me I could feel his precence but I couldn't see him, I could see a white obeject rite by my door I was suprised to see it and happy at the same time beacause I knew it was a angel it was trying to show me somthing I wanted to leave with it but I wasn't use to being in the astral world. I then noticed my hands came out of my physical body they were just like sunlight I then felt hands help lift me up from the back of my neck I knew they were my spirit guides I didn't like the feeling though beacause it was kind of creepy so I told them to stop and they did they were basicly trying to help me travel but since I got a bit nervouse I snaped rite back into my physical body. I hope my experience was some help to you.

I've felt that as well. Though, I haven't felt it in a long time. It feels as though you're being pulled from your body. Sometimes, there were no hands pulling and it just felt as if there was a powerful suction pulling me. Depending on who you ask, you'll get so many different answers... I personally don't know for sure what it is. However, I do know that the more it happened, the less afraid I became because I was always fine afterward. And it eventually didn't happen anymore.
