I've only told this story to my husband and a few close friends. This story is the first of what seems to be many new experiences or dreams I've been having. This dream happened in summer 2001. I'm not sure of the exact date because at the time the dream meant nothing... Although disturbing.
At the time of the dream I was working for a hotel company in New Orleans. It was common practice to go on business trips.
The dream begins with a co-worker and myself traveling to NY. We are walking around and being awed by the enormity of the city (by the way I've never been to NY.) We happen upon what seems to be the largest building that we've ever seen. I'm like a kid in the candy store. Instead of wanting to try every kind of candy I want to ride the elevator all the way to the top. I've never been that high up before. As the elevator inches its way up I begin to feel nervous and sick at my stomach. My palms are sweating and all I can think about is getting off. After punching all the buttons on the key pad the elevator finally stops on the 87th floor. My co-worker and I get of and I remember not being able to breath (the air was smoky) and my heart was pounding. We ran down all those stairs... It was so hard to run because I was stuck in tar or I just couldn't go fast enough.
Finally, we reached the bottom floor and out onto the street. The building collapsed behind us. Then I woke up. Terrified... Like I said before, I really didn't think anything about the dream until Sept. I would normally think this was just coincidence but I've had other dreams since then. Can anyone please offer an explanation or support.
Thanks.
