I Think I Am A Psychic Medium

For a while I have been wondering about the paranormal and the world of psychics. I know both my mother and my grandmother were having dreams come true, and were "in touch" with the paranormal. After about a year of experience, I've come to this site for help. Yahoo did not provide any good, believable answers. And I know taking hundreds of quizzes won't do me any good either.

My name is Cassie, I'm 12 years old, turning 13 in February. I have started acknowledging that I was "different" around last year, after my parents divorced. I noticed I could feel when a person was sad, angry, or very happy, and their mood affected me as well. When my friends were feeling down, I would "receive" their emotion. I noticed I would sense "people" that I couldn't physically see.

In the month of October, during a Halloween party of mine, my friends and I used an Ouija. I knew about them and how to be safe, so no need to worry. We met a person by the name of "T". And after that I got strange feelings when I walked by a certain tree in my yard.

After that, during a New Years party, the same friends used the Ouija again. "T" was there with us, and we discovered her name was Tessa. At the same time, I was getting a horrible feeling when I was near (or even looked) at a corner in my friend's house. I discovered there was another little child, Victoria, who had been murdered in that corner.

So we continued talking to Tessa and Victoria (who were supposedly sisters) and I was guessing the appearance I "received". I was almost dead on (I didn't get the year she died, 1908). My friends and I were appalled at how I was just "guessing" this.

Soon after I was experiencing things at my own house, especially, by the tree that was previously mentioned. I may be straying off-topic, but I would talk to Tessa using a pendulum or just by "receiving" answers. She seemed to follow me everywhere, even to school. My friends and I would sometimes ask her to touch our hands, or hug us, and after asking we would suddenly get cold chills on that same body part!

After a while, I told Tessa it would be best if she departed (and would be dearly missed) and after that, I had a dream. In the dream I was driving down a road and I saw Tessa out of the corner of my eye. In a creepy voice she told me, I will not be forgotten, and I responded with: I love you.

Recently our school went through a terrible loss. A student attempted suicide, failed, and died in the hospital. And I realized a few days after, I had a dream about a week before of someone committing suicide, but then I heard the person speaking after.

Please, if you could, would you help me decide whether I'm a psychic/medium or just insane? The above stories are 100% true. I was wondering if heritage had anything to do with it, too. I'm French-Indian and Italian. I also read that one will realize their abilities after a time of loss, or stress. Please, help me!

DCinAZ-I do not use the Ouija anymore, nor do I ever want to use it again, I also read up about them before using one. I'm afraid to tell my mom or my grandma, I don't want them thinking I'm a liar, or crazy. I've talked to some close friends but there's nothing they can do. Do you have any "methods" on getting more in tune with my psychic side?

[cassie_rose), A5 is right, you're not insane. However you do seem to be impatient in your pursuit of psychic ability. Using a quija board and/or pendulum to make contact with the spirits can be dangerous, especially for someone not yet in tune to their psychic 'side'. There are hundreds of stories here, and on our sister site that begin with someone using a ouija or pendulum to make contact and end with cries for help. Too many people want to take the shortcut to the spirit world. The problem is the clean up afterward. You said you're 12 years old? For that reason alone you shouldn't even be able to post your story here, the rules clearly state you must be 13 years old to participate. My advice is to stop trying to take the shortcut to the spirit world, you're just asking for trouble. You know this already, yet you continue. Have you talked to your mother or grandmother about any of this? They would be your best bet as they are more experienced and they are there with you.

Cassie_Rose-

These are signs of being empathetic. Now, do the emotions you pick up build so much that it bothers you?

I'm asking questions, because I don't want to post a super long comment if you don't have that much of a problem with it, and thus don't feel like reading a long comment. ❤ 😊

Shinigami0- Yes, when people are mad or sad or really happy I tend to feel it.
Lyro- when I see something I rarely have actually had time to look at it clearly, I get so scared I look away, but when I do, if I focus then it seems to blur and fade.

Cassie, I don't always check the site, but if you E-mail me, that's one way that I can respond, ask what you what to know, and I'll try to answer the best I can.
When you "see" something, when you look directly at it, does it disappear? Normally to see things such as spirits, you lose focus on this world to see them, and when you try to focus, then you re-focus on this world instead...

Cassie_Rose- Would you say that you tend to feel something negative if another person near you has a negative emotion, and vise versa with positive emotions?

Just trying to open up possible answers, and maybe clarify what Darkstar is going with, which is the possibility of being an empath. 😊 ❤

I'm with you ShinigamiO, that would be a refreshing change of pace, and make for a better looking 'welcome mat'. I must say that all the secrecy and the "my sources say" rhetoric has really gotten stale. I look forward to the time when 'open discussion' rules the day.

The category called 'top secret' should be an interesting one on this site 😆 😆because there are a lot of secret agents here. Even more than the movie itself.

Here's an idea- How about we start the lovely trend of "open advice". I'm pretty sure its safe to say that the comment box is more for just stating an opinion- its for giving advice OPENLY, and not using it for all of this "email only; top secret; not allowed to tell publicly; I have no idea what I'm talking about, so I'm only telling you to email, because of the fact".

Think about this- If a new person were to look at this site, or at the other two for that matter, with a serious or mild problem at hand, then go to the comment boxes for some quick advice, only to see a lot of "email only"'s, would they not leave? No advice shown on the actual site would lead one to believe that the posters have no actual advice, and cover the fact by saying "email only".

However, if we give open advice, like how some of our lovely posters are doing, this site could become outstanding, and others could chime in, in order to come up with a collective conclusion from different backgrounds.

Just some food for thought... 😉 ❤

LOL Zishu seems more devoted to "God"/A kiss up to "God" than I AM, and I'm an angel. It's funny really, considering near all of his posts have the words "Email me". What is it for Zishu?

Zishu

Seriously dude, just stop it. You are getting too much now. Stop trying to influence the youth with fantasy and paranoia.

[to Zishu] Your continueing efforts to recruit mew members of this, and the two sister sites, into your "God's Allies Army" has become too much of a thorn in the side to ignore you any longer. WARNING! You must cease all recruitment activities at all three sites! These activities have not been sanctioned by the creators of these sites and have proven to be counter-productive to the learning and healing process. Do not turn this into a war. YOU WILL LOSE. Thank you and have a glorious day.

I will be able to help you. I do not believe you are insane. I have many friends who can hear and see the things you do. Do you see orbs or spirits? Send me an email so I may be able to further help you.

I'm glad to help. Reading other peoples' experiances makes me feel like I might not be completely alone. I still feel new at this sort of thing 😁

A5, thank you so much. I am going to start recording dreams and experiences. I always thought I was alone until I saw this site (and I watched psychic kids 😁). Me and my friend considered going to the guidance counselor about it, even though it may make him think I'm insane. ❤

You are not insane.
I know because the same things have happened to me. You are just as you must have figured yourself a Reciever. That's what they told me I am. Psychic too, they're sort of the same thing. Not sure about anything else, but if you feel things from others and speak with ghosts, then we've got something in common there already. You had a dream that someone would attemp suicide, and it happened at your own school. Similar expiriances are mine and I know it's hard to handle. If you start getting visions and or more dreams like this, record the dates somewhere. It helps at least to be absolutly certain that what you saw did happen.
I believe you 100%.
It was not your fault.
Knowing you couldn't have done anything doesn't help, it makes the whole thing suck even worse. I was also 13 when it started to happen to me. There must be something about this age. Somehow I am going to help to stop the sicking things I see from becoming a reality.
I want to help in any way I can.
Don't be freaked and remember you are not alone. This site is helpful in that.
