Hearing Hello

I occasionally wake up to hear familiar voices calling my name, faintly. So I respond to my roommates whose voices I heard, and they say, " I didn't say anything." Maybe it's a "recording" like others have said.

I had a similar encounter
I was woken by a whisper (very clear)
Calling a name, but not mine. 😕

Well this has happened to me (the voice and no body) and 123hope and Mirrors brought up some awesome points! Liz is right, sometimes they are just confused, but other times they know exactly what they are doing... I love how Mirrors brought up that it could be a recording, because that is such a wonderful point SO MANY TIMES I HAVE SEEN MY HUSBAND WALK IN THE KITCHEN... AND HE IS NOT HOME. It happens, it really does.

I think in your situation though, if you really wanted to find out more about this female return to the basement. I believe that she was intelligent and that she was trying to get your attention, personally. I actually think it was a younger girl (not a woman), that was on the property a long time ago...

Shes proboally confused, She most likely wants to get your attention. Maybe to ask you questions, Or tell you what happened to her. If she seems friendly I wouldn't be afraid. If you ever hear this again I would try to respond. I wish you luck.

Have you had similar experiences? If not, it could have been a 'recording'. Not of the mechanical kind but of energy. Sometimes things we do daily get recorded into our surroundings. Some day someone may come to your house and see you walking down the hallway to the kitchen without noticing them, while you are sitting right beside them.

Either that or there's a spirit that may have seen you there and was confused about your presence. I've seen that sometimes spirits could be in a sort of state of limbo. The house is the same as when they were there, or even if there was no house, it'll all look the same to them. While like this, they may perceive some activity and be confused about this, because they believe that they're still alive and that you are the ghost.

It sounds weird, I know, but in my old house I could hear a dog barking inside when there wasn't one and also heard scratching at my door. Sometimes I even saw the reflection of other people in the bathroom mirror as if they were trying to peer through me as if I wasn't there. Some could obviously see me (like the tricksters that hid my cigarettes and laughed about me wasting so much time looking for them), but others were apparently comfortable enough to continue on in the house as if they had never died at all.

Spirits are trully limitless, so everything they do can always seem new.
