Falling Down The Stairs

I had no idea what I was seeing at first since this was the first time I have really ever seen something like this. I guess you could call it a vision of something bad but then again I'm not sure exactly what it is.

It was at school, last year, me and some of my friends were sitting in the gym eating lunch. We were the only ones in there and we were also the only ones that knew it was unlocked. It was like our own special hiding space right in the middle of school.

On this particular day we had found the light switch that operated the overhead lights and we figured out which switch was which and what not so we decided it would be an awesome idea to play Marco Pollo in the dark. We had just sat down to eat, because we were going to eat then play, when it happened.

We were sitting at the very top of the bleachers so we could see everything. We had just started a conversation on Ghosts when I 'blanked out'. When I say blanked out it means my mind drifted somewhere else. When this happened my eyesight becomes blurred and I can't hear anything or anyone around me or this period of time.

I do this often and so I thought nothing of it until my vision went black and I started seeing something. I saw me and my friends sitting where we were they were talking but I couldn't hear them. The gym was completely dark besides where we were sitting and the stairs that lead down to the gym floor. I watched my friends talk when one of chick friends got up, she looked excited and she started heading down the stairs.

It happened so quick that I almost didn't catch what happened. One second I was watching my friend hop happily down the stairs and then next I was watching her falling head first down the stairs were her face met the hard floor of the gym. I stood and looked down at the stair she had been standing on before she had fallen and saw that the stair was coming up from the base which had tripped my friend.

I snapped out of it after I had seen what had tripped her and everyone was still talking, they hadn't even realized that I hadn't been a part of the conversation. I looked down at the stairs and saw that the stair that I had seen my friend fall on was indeed coming up from the base. Then my chick friend stood, claiming she was done with her food and she had started down the stairs. I told her to be careful walking down the steps and as soon as I told her that she tripped but was able to catch herself before she fell.

Am I having premonitions? I have no idea what it was since that was my first time seeing anything like that. Can someone help me figure out what I'm seeing?
