Is My Two And A Half Year Old Pyschic?

I'm writing this story because my husband and I are starting to think that our 2-1/2 year old daughter might be psychic and if she does actually show some psychic ability, how do we help develop it?

There have only been a few examples of what we think her abilities are so far. The first occurrence was one night when my husband and daughter were out playing on the driveway while I was at the gym. All of the sudden, she announced to my husband, "Mommy's coming home". My husband asked her how she knew that and she said "Mommy told me". Just a couple of minutes later, I drove up to the house.

The next example happened about a month later when we went out to grab a bite to eat at a burger/custard place. My husband went up to the counter to get some ice cream. The counter was at least 75 feet away from our booth, not even close to ear shot. I casually asked her what kind of ice cream she though daddy was going to bring back. After thinking about it for a second, she announced "peanut butter". About 2 minutes later, my husband came back to the table with a sundae piled high with peanut butter cups. It is important to note that up until this point, she had NEVER had any kind of ice cream other than vanilla and didn't even know there were other ice cream options! Not only that, she had never even had candy let alone peanut butter cups - she was only about 26 months old at the time.

The next example was about a month or so after that one. We didn't have much food around the house and I was trying to come up with a creative dinner, so I called my husband at work while our daughter was at daycare and told him that we were going to have breakfast for dinner - eggs and pancakes. After work, we went for a family walk and I asked her "What are we having for dinner tonight?". She thought about it for a second and announced "Cheesy eggs". I asked my husband if he told her and he did not. Again, it's worth mentioning that breakfast for dinner is NOT common in our house. It was a last resort because we were so low on food. There are so many other food options that would have been "fall backs" - it was really strange that she said this since we hardly ever eat eggs. Especially for dinner.

The next example was guessing the sex of our friends unborn baby, since they didn't know what it was going to be. They came over one night and we asked our daughter if our friend (who was about 34 weeks pregnant at the time) was having a boy or a girl. After thinking about it, our daughter said a girl with a lot of certainty. In the weeks leading up to the baby's birth, I asked her at least 4 more times and she never wavered - she always said it was going to be a girl. When we got the text message that the baby was a girl 6 weeks later, I was not a bit surprised.

I should also mention that she seems kind of freaked out for "no reason" as she is going to bed a lot of times. She has also referred to a little figurine of a girl with the Lords Prayer above her bed as an Angel, although we have never even made mention of it.

These may seem like really small things, but being in the situation and knowing that there is no possible way she could know some of the things she knows, it seems like there really is something to it. She just seems like an old soul to us, too. There is no known psychic ability in either of our families.

Does it sound as though she could have some psychic abilities? If she does have this talent, how would we nurture it and help it to grow?

One of mine actually would go into trance when she sang. Now she's a grown up with kids of her own.

Your daughter has acutally opened up the way by pointing to the figure of a girl.
She is comfortable with angels and prayer rituals. The old school of thought is children learn a large percent I think it was 80% by what they see.
So you are the example. If she she's you pray or use angels she will. If you practice meditation or protection with a bubble she will feel this is normal.

So the rule of thrumb would be walk infront and lead the way.

Doreen Virtue has a small book-on Crystal children. I do not agree with all of it but she does give some interesting examples.

It is important to support a child to be themselves and know that it is normal to
Show psychic ability. Also explain not everyone sees or senses the same as she.

Most of all it is import to let a child be a kid involved in sports, reading and learn accountablity and responsibility in life and in spirit matters.

Wishing you well

Well kids get pyschic abilities much easier than us. They are so in there own world and relaxed. It seems to me that she is reading minds and seeing the future.

Actually, I think there are different level of what we call "psychics." And that throughout history psychics had varying significance in different cultures.

Eastern philosophy would say that your daughter is a reincarnation of a higher form - a lot of young children seem to be these days.

In the West psychics were considered angels in times past, though in the modern day are considered humans who are referred to psychiatrists.

I'm a higher level psychic myself, thus my advice is to research psychic protection for your daughter, as she may attract spirits and other types of beings that a two and a half year old can't defend against herself.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for your encouragement and feedback. I know a little bit about chakras from yoga practice, but I will definitely read up and try to encourage these gifts!

First, there is psychic ability in all of us; it's just dormant in most because it was never developed. What happens to what we don't use? It atrophies. This is just science.

I don't know if you're familiar with chakras, but children's chakras are very open, which means that they can see, hear and experience what we adults have long since shut out (unless we were fortunate enough to have open minded parents who nurtured this ability but this is very rare, especially in the western culture).

It sounds like you're open minded to what she has in terms of ability, and are willing to help her. A fun game you can play and one which will have a far reaching impact on her abilities has to do with Remote Viewing. You can look this up on-line but for her sake, and this should be fun, is to practice this with her. Take a pleasant picture (a picture of Disneyland, a specific shot of an animal in a zoo, etc.) and hold it in your hand (don't show her). Ask her to clear her mind and try and describe what she "sees". Technically, there are a lot of protocols with remote viewing but tell her to first start with JUST colors. A person should stay low level to the target so they don't start guessing. Then, have her describe more of the target, like if it's outside, bright, dark, energetic, humans or animals present, etc. If she learns to trust her visions and not guess, she could develop this into a powerful skill that she can forever use. It is also very helpful in opening up the third eye chakra. Images are easily available by going to Google, typing in a topic, the selecting the "images" tab. Just print an image out and use that. Easy and cheap.

As for you as a parent, you can't expect her to understand a lot of this but that doesn't exempt you. You can better assist a child in what you yourself understand. Start doing research on chakras and auras. As always, I recommend Barbara Brennan's book, "Hands of Light" which gives the most scientific overview of how these bodies work. Though the book is about healing, the background on the primary facts is excellent.

I just plucked this url off the internet http://www.pjentoft.com/chakra0.html which talks about some of the details given by Barbara.

I applaud you for being open minded with the gifts your child has. There isn't a child out there who could not benefit from this. I sometimes fantasize about a world full of enlightened children whose gifts are nurtured and not left to waste away by the effects of a closed minded and fearful society that we are still all a part of.
