Strange Dreams that Scare Me

Ever since I was a kid (I'm now 21) I saw things, like out of time, and a different view of where I live now. Like the other night, I had a dream about Weston-super-Mare at some point in the future, but everything changed, like buildings and roads and I have dreams about roads disappearing beneath me. Ever since I had those dreams I have been too scared to sleep and have had misfortunes over them, like my pets dying and losing my girlfriend and a family death. I know it's strange but I'm seeing a doctor monday and going for a brain scan, I think something could be wrong, I don't know, and I feel like I have been here before and keep getting deja vus every day. I'm really stressed over it, my family thinks I'm making it up, but how would they like to experience stuff like I have. Maybe I just got a huge amount of bad luck. I need help, I'm going crazy, not sleeping, I don't know what to do, is there anyone out there who has the same problem and if they could they help me, I would be very grateful.

Your grandma is trying to tell you to make good choices you are probbly going to do something that she did not like. I am thinking a bad dischion on leaving the house or doing something that she would not approve of. But she is maybe trying to tell you before it happens.

I just recently had a dream... To be honest just last night. In my dream there was me, my boyfriend, his sister, my brother, my father, and some of my fathers friends. We were moving me out of the house or something... And we start taking pictures together. I look at the picture and there's my grandma standing RIGHT in front of us. I freaked out instantly... Cause my grandma died back in September of 2008. Nobody saw her in the picture, she had disappeared. Nobody would believe me... So I took a completely random photo and my boyfriend saw her in the picture, she stared at us with the most needy look... Then in the digital photo on my cannon camera, she walked away... This dream left me distraught, I woke up and instantly texted my boyfriend... The dream left me terrified... I was scared to close my eyes, to look anywhere in my room, to use a camera, I was scared to even get up out of bed. Two hours later when I finally fell back asleep, I had like a continuation of my dream, except I was telling my boyfriends sister about it... And we were doing webcam on msn with some friends, and in the webcam we saw my grandma standing behind us... The look on her face made my stomach turn... My grandma was never a person to have a sour look of any sort on her face... I don't understand why these dreams just made me so...terrified, thinking back... Last time I had a dream like this, was when my grandma came into my room, sat down on my bed, and we started playing monopoly. She looked at the time, and I saw it said 1:55AM. She looked back at me and said "well it's time for me to part, I love you my angel" and she left... 5 minutes later my brother called me, telling me our grandma just died...

These dreams leave me terrified... Do they mean something? I have such a bad feeling in my stomach...

I've had a series of dreams that revolved around my grandmother dying... They were all pretty different, but the point was still the same. One of the last ones I had, I distinctly remember a birthday cake. The conclusion I drew was that she was going to die on or around her or someone else's birthday. She is still alive, but I expect her death in advance.

Don't be afraid of these dreams. If you draw conclusions about things that will happen in real life, make peace with it and feel lucky that you are given advance warning, so you have time to prepare for anything that may transpire in real life. Use it to your advantage to lessen the impact of the event. Peace to you, and good luck.

Hi I have the same problem but I try to stop it from happening. I think I am scared of it, probably because 3 people have died that I had a dream about. I dream their death in detail, what they die of, how they felt the only thing I don't get out of the dream is when they will die. The time limit seems to be getting longer. The first person was my grandfather, his death I dreamed on the night it happened. The second person was my moms best friend, she died a week later. The third person was my best friend's father and he died six months after the dream. I am scared of when my next dream might occur and who it might be. And I know exactly how you feel when you go to bed. It is not a nice feeling, but I don't have any answers for you. Sorry

iv had strange experiences like once I was 8 I was playing with my sister and I called out "i'll get it" then 2 seconds later the phone rang. The most recent one was very creepy. I dreamed that I went to my friends house and I was just walking through her house and went in her room. I have never been to her house and yet when I described everythin such as "all your hallways had wood panelled walls" she said most of her hallways were wood and I saw that she had a green blanket on her bed and she said she did and I said she had a dry erase board on her door and she saidshe really did. It was pretty creepy

Hey Kenny12, you're absolutely right. It's no good to focus too much on coincidences(?) like that. But please don't say stuff like 'don't go to the doctor' or anything! When you're only 13 years old, how can you know what to do? Even if you had the same problem, it's up to brian to decide whether going to see a doctor or not. (didn't want to be mean, sorry if I was a bit rude).

It's okay. I experience the same things and I'm only 13. If you stress over them and you think about them a lot you get more and more but if you relax and say everything's fine then you probably won't get as much well this is what I did. Don't go to the doctor cause it's nothing a doctor can cure it's only something you and god can cure.

i am sorry for what is happing to you but I think that you have visions of the future. When you dream you can control the dream it is not like you have no control but when you go to sleep tell your self in that dream that you are in control and that should help you or if something tries to hurt you in these dreams then but a mental shield around your self by just thinking about shielding your self if you need more info let me know and I well try to help you just leave me a comment about the thing you need help with.

Right now you are probably unconscious in your sleep that's why you have a hard time controlling them. Meditation can help that. It will allow you to be conscious in your sleep, and change things around because now you know that you are asleep, like they said.

Hi. Because your dreams are so terrifying, I would imagine going to sleep must be stressful, but I've learned, as Sophie said, to control my dream. When I am dreaming vivid, disturbing dreams I remind myself, during the dream, that this is just a movie in my head. That's all.

If your dreams don't actually happen to you or others, they might just represent things going on in your life... Like stress related issues or fears that come out in your dreams. It doesn't even have to be the same exact fear based on what happens in your dream. I hope your tests come out okay and you are physically well. If your family doesn't understand, please do talk to someone to get it all out and help you get a hold of what you're going through. It helps just to talk to someone that can help you interpret what you are dreaming and get control of your sleep again.

Hi there, first I'd like to say that I'm very sorry for what happened to you. I'm sure you had a hard time. But I've read your story several times and I still don't get what's so terrible about your dreams. And deja vus are really nasty, but surely they don't harm you?
If your dreams prevent you from getting sleep, perhaps you should try and control them, you know, learn lucid dreaming (that is, you know that you`re asleep while dreaming). Good luck, hope I could help you. (P.s sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker)
