In 2006, I was around 4months pregnant with my second child and was sound asleep in bed with my husband. I was woke up after feeling like a torch was being pointed very close up to my closed eyes which made me open them as you would. Our bedroom door was only slightly open and I could see a bright orange light shining in but after about a second it quickly faded away. I instantly freaked out as it was just my family home, and my 3yr old was also fast asleep. We lived out in the country and I heard no cars, the tv was off and all the lights etc. I was so scared I cuddled up to my husband and put my head under the blankets and didn't open my eyes again until the morning. I hadn't checked what the time was because I'm scared of the hour between 3am and 4am (another story). When I told him in the morning he insisted I was dreaming as he hadn't woken up from it.

All day I wondered what it could have been and came up with no explanation. That night as I went to sleep I really hoped it wouldn't happen again., but it did. Again I was woken up by a super bright light forcing me to open my eyes and the same light coming in the door only this time it was bright blue. For some reason I didn't feel the terror I had the night before. And again, it faded away as soon as I noticed it. I fell back asleep not too long after and its never happened to me again. I have looked all over the internet and have only ever seen one story similar to mine, but still don't know what it could've been.

Man, I can't believe this is 4 years old. I have been kind of curious about this stuff my whole life and just now found this story. I grew up with very religious christian parents who dismissed anything that didn't fit into their religion. But I will never forget a story my mom told me when I was young as to how my name was chosen. I am the only boy with 2 older sisters and my mom told me that after my second sister was born the doctors told her that she would never have a child again. She told me she woke up one night to a bright blue light in the bedroom and tried to wake my father but he wouldn't budge. The light told her that she was pregnant with a boy and told her what to name the child. She said as soon as the light left the room she was able to wake my dad up who told her it was just a dream. A few weeks later she found out she was pregnant and the doctors kept telling her it was a girl, but she insisted it was a boy and already had the name picked out. I guess I always hoped that if this story were true, maybe I would be special in some way, but I have no psychic powers or anything like that that I am aware of:/ But thank you for sharing your story about the blue light. Glad I'm not the only one searching for answers.

In NZ on our morning news/entertainment show once a week we have an awesome medium named Sue Nicholson on the show and she answers peoples questions. Anyway, a lady was on the phone talking to her live and had a similar story to mine. Sue said that it was angels and the colour represented the angels aura I think?
That may be the explanation I was looking for...

um...I've got a suggestion... Kind of as a reply to Oracle's explanation. I would like to point out that in most forms of energy (like stars, for example) blue is actually hot, and red/orange cool. Keep that in mind; spirits are energy, yes? I know there's a lot more to it than that, but you know...basically. So I'd ponit out that if it had to do with temperature then the blue was more likely to mean heat and th orange more likely to mean coolness.

And I find Doublemint's theory quite interesting:)

About aliens, just to let you know that in the non physical plan you may encounter a large variety of beeings, and we are ourselves aliens when we go on other planets on astral projection. Some aliens are only looking at us and some are taking care of us.

Long time ago for me but > being pregnant stimulates all senses > empath abilities' could have sky rocketed like an anxiety attack when coming out of deep sleep too quickly triggering a clairsentience experience. The strength of feeling overwhelming may have caused fear for unborn child's safety. On the other hand let's examine the orange light > could it have been a vision of second chakra opening it is near the sacral or navel located next to unborn child. Mother witnessing child's spirit with angelic host. The fifth chakra opening > throat chakra associated with communication > the color blue. Mother felt no fear > the vision could have been objective clairaudience, communication established through telepathy > child telling mother I'm ok, mother hears the experience in doing so this down plays the anxiety pushing into a state of calmness.
Time period between 3 and 4, sounds to me like the dead zone where things really change. I feel like everyone else we need more info on the 3 to 4.

You felt it near your eyes because it had been hovering over you as you slept.

It was orange in colour because it was warm. It was blue the next time because it was cool. Perhaps it turns blue as it vanishes, or as it's emotions change.

It vanished out the door when you awoke and as you watched it because you were not meant to see it. This is also why it visited while you slept. If it wanted to harm you then it would have (rather than vanishing).

It might be something watching over you, whether it be a spirit, ghost, alien, Angel, or Guardian. But I will read your other story to confirm this.

Mum: I've been folllowing this story from afar, waiting for the right time to reply to you-this feels like it. My mom saw lights and beings when she was pregnant with me she told me growing up. Balls of light in the hallway, "gray" looking aliens. My dad slept right thu it, my mother was terrified that they "did" something to me, and later in my life was afraid they were hurting me. The fact that you describe it as a "blowtorch" like sensation suggests to me that its your parasympathetic nervous system being activated-this is the source of our psychic abilities. I get "hot" when I am interacting with my gaurdian. Also, the fact that the light was "behind a door" speaks to me also. To me, that signifies that there is something going on "behind the door of consiousness". I would say that in retrospect, divine beings were trying to tell my mom that I was to be something not ordinary. I told her about a month ago that I never saw an "alien", I was never hurt by these beings as she feared for me, and that fear science-fiction colored her perceptions, and their message to her was lost. I hope this helps, ilike others the time frame you reference is the key to understanding what's behind the door:)

I wonder if it is you are being visited by spirits of loved ones or angels. Because when I was about 5 months pregnant with my son, he was brought to me by angels and there was a blue light that surrounded them. As to what the orange light could be, I don't know. I don't believe that it could be aliens. Just a thought for you to ponder.

As others have observed, there is more to this story.

What is it about the fourth watch that is so disturbing for you?

So, three years ago: bright orange light on the other side of the door on the first night, and you were scared.

The following night: very bright blue light that woke you up and filled the room the second night, but you were not scared.

And either your husband is more sound a sleeper than are you, or he did not perceive these lights.

The areas for conjecture are broad indeed.

As the site is not taking new stories until Monday, why don't you use the comment box here to give us more details? What other experiences have you had?

By the way, are you thinking that this is a psychic as opposed to simply unexplained experience? Delighted to see you here, but the site homepage does indicate other venues for UFO's, unexplained phenomena, and the like. You may find more answers there. Along these lines, by the way, in your searches of the internet, how much have you done around pervasive myths and legends? Frequently, cross-cultural similarities can be very telling.

(Personally, I have a lifelong interest and a handful of information about these areas as well, so please don't take this potential redirect as a lack of investment in you... Quite the contrary!)

Could be aliens coming to see you and/or the future baby. They seems friendly.
