I've just accepted that I'm a "sensitive", and am searching for more answers. Right now I'm trying to find out what this experience is:
I see moving splotches--best I can come up with right now--everywhere, especially on bare walls, but sometimes it's black and purple in open air. It is sublte, but there, always there.
As a child I experienced the black and purple splotches in open space, then at some point I noticed colors and patterns that I don't have the language to describe. They are most noticable against a bare wall--especially white. (In instances where I have seen auras it's against a white background).
What are these strange distortions of my visual perception? Is this sensitivity to overall electromagnetic field around me? Even now as I'm looking at my monitor I see motion, occasional moving black spots, whiter than white areas, flashes, squiggles. The best way I can describe is that the bare wall looks "tingley".
Sometimes my "peripheral vision" fades to dark colors, or red, sometimes there's a band. If I try to "relax" my visual intake I get a more pronounced effect than detailed above. Am I learneing to expand my sensitivity? Since I've accepted my gift, no longer thinking it a curse I've become much more aware if this. Thoughts?
Anyway, synesthesia means that your senses are crossed and you might be seeing your emotions or words. I can taste words and see music. I like being able to do both those things, but what I really hate is that I don't just feel pain, I see it and taste it, too.anyway, it's a possibility.
