I have always had very vivid dreams even as a child. Although I can remember some of my dreams from childhood, I must say, not many occurred in reality, apart from the occasional or odd feeling of Dejavu.
All that changed as I entered my late teens. Somehow somewhere down the line. I would have dreams and the dreams would then occur... In a matter of days or weeks.
This story is of my latest dream. Some point of Friday night (13/3/2009) or Saturday morning (14/3/2009), I had this strange dream about seeing snakes in my house. I currently live in the UK, as I attend university here. However, home is all the way back in Malaysia for me. So this was a dream of seeing snakes, at home in Malaysia... While I am actually in the UK preoccupied with my final year preparations.
Anyway, in this dream, I first see this thick long yellowy brown snake with patches of black on its skin. The snake is coiled up in the store room of my parents home in Malaysia. I see the snake, and call for my mother to come and do something. Unfortunately, the snake disappears before it is caught.
In the same dream, my mother then starts hunting for this snake which I saw, and instead, we find a black cobra standing, with its head up.
For some reason, I did ring my mum and tell her about my dream on Saturday morning. Today (Monday the 16th of March 2009), 3 days after the dream I called my mum up after work and she said, that a black cobra was present at home this morning at 9am Malaysian time, just before she and dad left for work.
As my parents are of Indian origin and devout Hindu's they do have some strange beliefs, one of them being that a snake should never enter your house, and if it does, then you would have to move home.
The panicked, closed all the doors and windows and untied the dog. Who then killed the snake, and then rushed the dog to the vet.
The dog is now fine, and my mom is panicking because she remembers about the other snake I told her about in my dream.
I'm just amused. These things happen. I can't explain how or why we have these dreams.
When I get more time, I will try and post my other dreams that do come true.
