Other Worldly Experiences

When I was 4, I had a very strange experience. I was laying in my bed at night awake and this creature (which I think was a demon) was climbing across my walls. Then it gets right up in my face and starts trying to scratch at my face, but it was like it couldn't touch me. Then it turns around and looks at the end of my bed, and it runs back up the wall into the corner and disappears.

I look down at the end of my bed and there is this bright glowing, bluish-white figure standing at the foot of my bed. I couldn't see any of its features, but I could see it had the outline of a person (I think it was an angel). I just stared at it for a minute and I felt this overwhelming sense of peace and comfort, like I was totally safe and protected. Then the figure disappeared and I got up out of my bed and went to see my mom when she was doing the laundry. I told her exactly what happened very calmly. I know it freaked her out, but I wasn't scared at all. She still remembers it to this day, and so do I obviously.

But that's not all. I didn't have any really weird experiences like that again until I was about 15. I went to Georgia to stay with my friend for a couple of weeks over the summer. I stayed in her little brother's room while he was down in Florida. I got up early one morning and made myself a cup of tea. I was sitting at the table and looking at the basement door (which was cracked open). I had this feeling that there was a presence there and all the sudden, the door swung open on its own. I tried to tell my friend that her house was haunted but she didn't want to believe me.

Then another night, I was laying in my bed, trying to go to sleep (but scared to death). Then I closed my eyes and I heard a girl's voice whisper in my ear, "HEY!" and then an eerie giggling. I shot up in the bed and counted to ten, then I ran into my friend's room and jumped on her bed. I told her what happened and I stayed in her room for the rest of the night. There was also an incident where my friend had a strand of chili pepper lights on her windowsill. We went to walk out of the room and they turned on, she walked back over and turned them off again, then they turned back on again when she walked away. We just turned around and left the room.

We were in the basement one night watching a movie and my friend wanted to go upstairs. She started walking up without me, I had to get the movie, and I told her "Don't leave me, I don't want the ghost to get me!". As soon as I said this, there was a loud banging on the door to the extra room (the "playroom" on the side of the basement). I screamed and ran up the stairs.

We also decided to visit some graveyards (to try to get pictures of orbs). While we were at one, I walked off on a pathway by myself. I felt that sensation that I was not alone and I heard a whisper in my ear that sounded like, "She's coming", in a woman's voice. I ran back to my friend. Every time this happened, it scared the crap out of me.

Since then, I haven't had any experiences that were as intense, mostly just a sense sometimes that I'm not alone. Occasionally, I hear footsteps upstairs when there is nobody up there. I seem to be somewhat empathic also. I guess I'm in tune with a lot of different things. Weird huh? Does anybody know what to make of this?

A good way to get over your fears of ghosts and spirits is to watch the TV series "Ghostwhisperer" because it shows how scary it can be at first but how eventually it all makes sense and becomes understandable and normal once the mystery begins to unravel and gets solved. Very enlightening show.

Leodowneyjr,
Maybe you should look up the history of the area you live in... Usually people who don't believe at all are not as susceptible to the supernatural (ignorance is bliss). So for your brother to hear voices also, there must be something strange going on around there. You should check it out.

Ari123,
Sounds like keeping your window open may not be such a good idea. If you must though, I would suggest getting a cross to hang over the window, and blessing/saging your room so that nothing with ill intentions can enter. My sister isn't susceptible either. She did tell me though, that if you felt a dark presence to say, "I command you in the name of God to leave this house/place!" These are only suggestions though, I'm not sure if they would work or make things worse.

Oracle,
Thank you for your advice. I don't know how I will go about getting over my fears, but I will certainly give it a shot. I'll definitely be staying out of graveyards in the future. 😉

Acadamylin,
I do own a Ouija board but I do not use it anymore due to the fact that it scares me. My friend Rose and I tried to talk to my Grandfather on it before but I think it was something bad trying to pretend like it was my grampa... The eye started moving across the board so fast that we had to get another of our friends to write it down so that we could decipher what it was saying. It spelled out a whole sentence in less than a minute and it totally creeped us out. Also, when we were walking in the grave yard, it was broad daylight, so that is what really scared me. I see what you mean though about having respect for them... I've had a pretty healthy respect for them since then. I'm 22 now and I also have a son who is 1. I worry that maybe he sees them because I hear him in his room at night sometimes laughing to himself.

same thing happens to me with hearing voices. It mostly happens in the summer though when I use a window fan[i hate air conditioners].I feel that that's when I'm most vonerable to hear and see things because my curtain is fully open in the night, so I sleep with the radio. I hate hearing things. Last summer, I kept hearing someone say arielle[my name]over and over in a whisper. So I prayed, and felt a wave of protection and it stopped. Another time is when I felt something...dangerous.this time my bed was positioned where I can see everything out my window, and everything out my window can see me. I had this feeling I was being watched... Like it was just standing there. And I was scared to death to the point I couldn't move or say anything. Then I slowly moved out of my room and to the living room. I came back later, and it was gone. The only time something like this has happened to me was in a dream. My parents said that I should've told them.[my dad and mom have senses too, just not as strong as me I guess].my sister doesn't have anything.we're totally different. She jokes about me being an empath.>_<

You have the ability to hear (and sometimes see) spirits. They try to make contact with you but you get scared (very understandable). When you are ready you can begin making (or accepting) contact for the purpose of helping them. Try helping one spirit at a time (rather than visiting graveyards full of them).

Going searching in graveyards for orbs may seem like a good idea at the time, but unless it is done with reverance for the deceased and with respect, someone/ body may take offense. A bit like playing with ouija boards, (which I don't condone either) take the piss and they'll take the piss back. They were after all human. (once)

Hearing voices before sleep is at the most succeptible time to meet the spirit world, don't worry but pay attention if you want answers.

The fact that you had a guardian angel at your bedside at an early age should encourage you to walk in the light and not dabble in a view which may stray from pure, ie; walking graveyards at night in order to chase up/ wake ghosts.

Hi, I have had many, many experiences, some like yours. Id say your like me and your psychic and or there attracted to you. The are deffinitly drawn to me. I still don't know why. I have had probobly over a hundred experiences ghost, demon, other. I would totaly think myself nuts but there has been a huge amount of witness to all kinds of stuff. Many friends and family, and friends of family have seen something at least once here in my area. I have had many different types of big WEIRD experiences, even a few that were just extremely hardcore. Earth shaking. My current girl was a non beliver but now she is scared of it all, even me. Not only do I here the talking and sounds but so does her. And my kids who know nothing of this have started hearing things out at sheridan. An area deep in the woods. Not a populated area "no deaths". But they have heard talking, I heard it as well, like a conversation. My bro mike even heard it and hes super skeptic. At my first haunting a creepy demonic place, I moved there at 9 years. For years he never heard a dam thing. Just me, bro chris, and dozens of friends who ran out like chickens from the dread. I'm glad he fianaly experienced something. Its changed him a little.
